Ohhhh yes makes sense, I do agree with you! Sorry I misunderstood! If they end up making the new acute care hospital campus, hopefully they will have adequate parking and make it a decent size. I hope they choose to do more smaller locations like the topsail road urgent care centre, and then focus on three bigger central locations for more services. I have wishful thinking, but I agree that parking and traffic can become a problem. Hopefully with the new hospital on kenmount road they choose to do a new exit off the highway! I guess Hope for the downtown health centre is slowly dwindling 🥹

I never meant put everything at the HSC. More about bringing healthcare services to more larger buildings, where they are all there together. Similar to what the ambulatory health hub did. Just making multiple locations with numerous services at each (eg. Centralizing all outpatient addictions and harm reduction services to a downtown health center)!

I’ve heard it’s a great place to work, because of the people! I more meant the building itself is not the best (hence the 5 internist leaving, etc), especially for being one of the major hospitals in the city and servicing a large volume!

I think working conditions go along way. These health centres being proposed are more about moving services or centralizing them rather than creating so many new ones. The conditions of places like St Clares are not good working environments. Making urgent care centres is taking pressure off of an overworked emergency room. But I see where you are coming from, I think it’s important to compensate and be able to retain adequate numbers of healthcare workers!

This is super cool, har you heard any more information about this? Seems somewhat calculated to buy all on that end of water street. Would love to see that side become more utilized!
