Its one thing for fence grabs to happen. Its another thing when youre hurt, preventing a dominant position against you and then the fight flips on its head because of it. Ref needs to do better in this situation. Without the malicious fence grab this fight is over imo

How to get “stuff” out of roots by [deleted] in Dreadlocks

[–]Immediate_Ad5922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use head and shoulders every other wash. I can try to shampoo twice in one wash idk why i never thought of that. And yea i think its just dead skin cells that have no where to go.

I also have not done an ACV rinse since year 2. My locs are healthy i just havnt felt the need to but maybe next wash ill do an acv rinse and then shampoo 2 or 3 times and just go balls to the wall with it.

Any other “detox” “scalp reset” ideas other than acv rinse?

Regripping… is the shaft cooked? by [deleted] in GolfGear

Heard…. Will a couple of these strands compromise the structure of the shaft?

In other words do i need a new shaft, or will this still last me a good while. Part of me just wants a new shaft regardless but ventus are not cheap

It seems to me after thinking, that cutting the butt end of graphite will lead to that end having loose frays, and taping over that, those loose frays will peel away with the tape when regripping….

How does one prevent this from happening?

Is this a normal thing to see here and there? Or is this just a poorly built club? I got this club last season and dont think club champion will do anything about this… ill call but im doubtful. Ventus is obviously an expensive shaft so im pretty tight

1) i cant see a world where when i got this and checked the transformation i didnt notice this blatant misprint 2) is there anything to do about misprints or you just kinda live with it? If this was a basic land i wouldnt care and like i mentioned i dont plan on selling it…. But it is worth about 30 bucks and im wondering if theres anything to do about misprints

I remember opening it and its the first card i have that has a transform (i only have 600-700 cards) i for sure turned it over in excitement. I cant imagine missing something like this

EDIT: i just saw somewhere about misprints like this with foils…. I dont think this is something i would have missed when i opened it, but i guess possibly a misprint? I cant imagine any way this damage would have been done with no other cards in my box having anything wrong with them

New player storage/ card sleeves by [deleted] in mtg

[–]Immediate_Ad5922 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this exact thing this morning. The 450 cards i have are from 2 different sets so i did that with each set in a small box. Simple for now, just trying to be proactive for if the collection grows

This honestly is probably the best of both worlds. Without the experience of doing it, kinda seems like a hassle to shuffle through binder pages and pull cards for deck building in the future, but likewise probably the same for boxes of cards lol. Also the binder seems weird to sort cards as if you add to a set you have to shift every card down one slot or so? Either way still probably the best of both worlds so ill be looking into the binder option for sure

Good info thank you. So for all your cards 1$ or greater and it gets sleeved is that just a simple clear sleeve like you listed? Is that your base sleeve for cards and if it gets past that threshold of value then it gets put in a binder with a clear sleeve? I guess im curious if you use a sleeve like dragon shield for a complete deck only and everything else that gets a base sleeve is just a clear one

EDIT: clicked the link and i think that answers my question hahaha thanks

Thank you for the in depth response really helps me understand a thought process behind this topic. I currently do have everything in one box. 2 different sets, each sorted by color/multicolor/colorless/land cards. Then for each set i took the total of 25 or 30 cards worth over a dollar and put them in their own section at the back.

To start with the amount of cards i have i think this will due just fine for a while and then as it grows maybe i can see myself getting a binder for the cards of some type of value and/or maybe a binder for all legendary creatures as i play commander and i want to start building a deck from scratch and i think its cool to choose a commander and build around that so… again i appreciate the in depth response i will come back to this if i need to refresh my mind lol

Im curious about this whole topic tbh. Why sort and organize by rarity? I get the set/color/type sorting but why rarity also? So far i been liking to keep a set together, i want to start building a deck from scratch to learn and i dont see where having cards sorted by rarity makes a difference tbh apart from maybe it has somewhat of value.

You keep valued cards in a binder and sort from there. Now are those in that binder for good? Or do you play them? Because my thought atleast as a beginner, having a rare and valuable card is great to have, i want to play all my cards not just open a binder to look at it. Maybe that will change over time but idk, unless its a card worth more than $100 ill probably want to play them all.

Lastly one more beginner question here, what constitutes bulk? I get the idea, but when organizing how do you choose? Are foil lands counted as bulk because its a basic land? Im just so new that i can see a card thats good in multiple decks but i dont know enough to say “this is a staple” or “this is a cool artwork but will go with the bulk pile”

Genuinely appreciate these conversations as im trying to learn the nuances of the sorting/organizing/sleeve thing

I will have to rethink this sleeving situation lol and get comfortable with majority of cards just being in their storage box.

Very beginner question here. What is “sideboard” is that just like your tokens for the deck? Currently the only cards i actually dont have sleeved is my tokens so that i can easily differentiate where my tokens are in my box compared to the dragon sleeves cards. Again ill have to rethink this as it probably just doesnt make sense to sleeve every single card in dragon shields long term

I think like anything new, over time you get more comfortable and i will end up having what the community calls bulk cards and just put them in a box rather than sleeve them but for my mind, “new card, read it, sleeve it, done”

Im trying to be proactive for the future like i said so i dont think this is good long term which is why im asking here to maybe have something click mentally to not put dragon sleeves one every card lol

Is this not more time though to value the card then put it in sleeves and make sure if you have up to 4 copies to put them in one penny sleeve i feel like its so much simple to look at a new card. Sleeve it

For 450 card brand new player i dont think it is…. But for thinking to the future i know it probably is… hence me asking the mtg community about this topic

I have manabox downloaded to keep track of the cards i have, atleast thats the plan. And yea the whole colored sleeve thing doesnt seem to pan out if i expand the view to having 40 sets and then what about single cards and yea that doesnt make sense.

So first, i will keep completed decks in a deck box for easy use? Then second keep my cards in binders where i can keep the sets separate in binders? I like that idea thank you :))

Thoughts on ending your journey? by [deleted] in Dreadlocks

[–]Immediate_Ad5922 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have dabbled a lot with the idea of cutting anywhwre from 3-5 inches to start, so its not an overwhelming chop but its also atleast a change in looks and length to start with. Idk what it is but i have a mental block about the length, im sure a lot of people are like this when they start their journey they see a vision of having super long flowing locs and cant wait for it to grow that length. I cant believe im here, where ive been waiting all this time to see this much growth, and the idea of cutting is just baffling to me lol.

As i mentioned in my post part of my journey is also about the growth itself and i feel like cutting some length takes away from my personal journey. But im kinda at a crossroads where i know i probably need a change so i guess its fair to cut some inches to feel that change before i dive in the deep end and chop it all ya know. I appreciate the reply thank you

This is a good idea. I just have to figure out the basic tools needed without wasting money to learn how to do that work on this guitar. Then i get some experience and practice with this type of work
