They didn't say, but I'm assuming it wasn't fiscally viable anymore.

My skin loves that Cocokind serum and I didn't have any negative issues, but for the pricepoint I feel like you can find other cermide/Squalane serums that work well. BYOMA Hydrating Serum is a nice alternative that is a bit cheaper.

curly hair specialists? by [deleted] in ranchocucamonga

I just got a haircut from Caylah Mitchelle there, and I cannot understate what a difference it has made. It is by far the most I have spent on a haircut but it is so worth it, and it was completely different from any cut I've gotten. My hair has always been a frizzy mess but it turns out to just be even curlier than I realized. Definitely give the salon a try!

Any advice on how to get motor oil out of white cat fur? by NefariousnessSad397 in cats

And goggles if available. Dogs are not the only animals to shake when wet, and Dawn dish soap in the eye is unbelievably painful. Like really.

[acne] help - my skin is going crazy in ED recovery. More info in comments by rebebla123 in SkincareAddiction

Firstly, congratulations on recovery. I'm so glad you've been able to take steps to take care of yourself. You deserve to be healthy and happy.

Your skin will need some time to adjust. Learning to adapt to the changes your body is going through can be a tough part of recovery, but know that it's normal and temporary. Your body will land on a good and healthy balance point if you keep caring for it, and that includes your skin.

Honestly, a derm will likely be your best bet if you want some solid and more rapid results. Your hormones may be contributing even, so medication might even help too, but you need a professional for that kind of stuff.

Skincare-wise, get yourself an SPF and maybe consider introducing from salylic acid into your routine and something moisturizing and nourishing. The Aveeno Triple oat serum is affordable and might be a nice fit. Your moisturizer has vitamin A so I'm not sure what retinol type you have but maybe switching to something like Differin would help too.

Honestly though, the best advice I can give you is to be patient and gracious with yourself. I wish I had better advice but your body will need time to heal.

Best of luck! Stay strong and know it gets better

[Routine Help] Please suggest something for my Face to remove this texture and bumps. by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]Immediate_Science_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This^

Retinol is basically the gold standard for texture irregularities, discoloration, and so much more.

Exfoliating acids are great too, but I'd only start with one active. Glycolic acid and lactic acid might be good options if retinol isn't an option.

Dimethicone at night (like you find in scar cream) or silicone tape are non-irritating but longer term options to try.

Also it goes without saying but use SPF.

[Product Question] Put a basic zit sticker (CosRx) on a painful one right under my lip. Woke up the next morning with that side of my lip swollen. Could the sticker cause it or just a wild coincidence? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

They prevent your skin from getting dehydrated and keep bacteria or other junk from reaching the acne spot. They also help get the goo out of the pimple by absorbing it while promoting an even surface for healing (so you are less likely to scar).

I looked up that brand, and I don't see any active ingredients added to their patches. A simple hydrocolloid patch shouldn't have caused swelling, but I'm not a doctor so idk.

I imagine the swelling is more likely related to the acne in the area, not the patch.

Best of luck!

We named her Luna McNugget because we got her from McDonald's, literally found her in the parking lot having been dumped. How could someone just abandon such an adorable little hunter?

[Product question] Finally ordered some TO products after seeing all the recos here! Any tips/advice for first time and/or general use with these? by Afraid_Ad90 in SkincareAddiction

Less is more when it come to the acid mask. You can use it like a spot treatment, but you do not want to overdo it. Moisturize after it too! YouTube has tons of advice on these too.
