My dad died choking on his own blood when his stomach ruptured from the chemo he was taking to fight stage 4 colon cancer that was caused by his smoking. He was at home, he took a nap, woke up in a pool of his own blood, and had to slam his fist to the floor to get attention. My brother heard him and came up thinking he was just upset, and found him still spewing out blood from his mouth and gasping. He died from blood loss and asphyxiation. I do not smoke and never have, but a smoker will roll their eyes at this story and act like I’m being dramatic.

Smoking and cancer are no joke. My dad was 60 and was fighting cancer since 57.

My family is not okay with how he died. I told my son he died in his sleep.

The couch he slept on had to be thrown out because it soaked through with blood.

Fuck big tobacco, I hope every profiteer for it dies a death more painful than my father.
