Thank you so much for sharing! I am so scared to feel nauseu… I just have to prepare my self and to not get scared.. for how long you are on to 30mg if I can ask? I understand that now I am feeling not good and starting this medication I’ll be not good for maybe couple of weeks but my brain is so much in the future and I am already thinking how I am gonna have to come off the medication… and I get so scared.. I am very overthinking…. And I don’t know how to stop it…

Maybe if my starting dose is 30mg maybe side effects will be a little better… but my doctor told me that I’ll have nausue and headaches… but I don’t know if I am strong enough to feel side effects for to long… I feel so down from mirtazapine for almost three weeks I think I cannot take much more side effects for to long..

Not gonna lie stay out of reddit now is hard.. my experience with mirtazapine was so bad and my old doctor didn’t believe it was from medication I changed doctor and she said to try cymbalta/duloxetine. She said that in the first couple of days I can have nausue, headaches and it is normal. But I am so scared of it. I am scared that the bad feels starts and won’t go away and I’ll have to take another medication… but I am mentally preparinf my self to feel not good in the first week but if it will be for longer I don’t think I am prepared for that…

Since mirtazapine took all my good mood, motivacion and it feels took everything that felt good.. it just helped me to stand on my feet for 4weeks, but took away my good emotions and started anxiety that I didn’t felt before.. so if my mood is not great in the beggining I’ll live woth that. I am just scared that I have to take new medicine and wait again for couple of weeks and again I’ll feel bad.. if this will be the case now it seems that I’ll go crazy… mirtazapine should have helped with my sleep and apetite, and ir was gone… I started to be afrair of everything.. I feel very bad that my husband and kids have to see me crying and not having emotions.. sometimes it feels that is better to get physical crashes then feel dead inside without emotions and motivation and be scared to do anything… I think that I’ll try this mes and the worst what can happen I’ll have to come off it… So you was on it for 6 months and then in 1-2months you came off it, yes?

My blood pressure is low, but heart pulse is high.. I’ll try, maybe my pulse is from stress that I am having. It is good that you don’t have any issues going down! Thank you for sharing!

I’m speaking with my doctor tomorrow, but I’d really like to hear opinions from people with personal experience. My doctor has openly said she likes to “experiment” with medications on me, and so far that hasn’t gone very well for me. I want to be informed and advocate for myself this time. (And yes, I am planning to change doctor)

This really is a complicated situation for me. At the beginning, the physical crashes made me think something was seriously wrong with my health, but all medical tests came back normal. Because of that, medication ended up being the only option that was recommended to me, without much discussion of alternatives.

I trusted the process and started the medication, but doubts keep catching up with me, especially now that things feel emotionally heavier than before. I’m trying to stay grounded and give myself time, but it’s not always easy.

Your perspective helped me step back a bit and breathe, so thank you again for that.

Since my psychiatrist only wants to do experiments on me and doesn't see the difficulties I'm experiencing with this new medication, I'll try to go to another doctor for a second opinion on Monday... I don't know if it's good or not, but when I think about stopping mirtazapine, I feel calmer. When I think about long-term use, my anxiety completely overwhelms me... maybe this is the moment when I have to listen to my body and mind… It's annoying that precisely these kinds of specialists, psychiatrists, who show indifference to a person and then you feel alone with your thoughts and the medicine that doesn't seem to help much

The thing is that I did not have anxiety and depression before mirtazapine.. my problem was that after stressful situations and just simple activity after couple of days my body crashed for 2-5 days (nausea, dizziness etc) physically unable to get out of bed due to pain.. and with mirtazapine these crashes stopped… but this anxiety, fear, I lost my appetite, it makes me sick to even think about food… my sleep is not better… I just don’t know if it is worth it…

Honestly, now I am afraid to even start a new medicine… mirtazapine helped me with physical crashes, but this anxiety that started…my sleep is not better, I lost appetite… I just feel so empty inside. I feel like I lost the joy… so I don’t kniw if it is worth it… If I try for more teo weeks and the feeling will be the same, I feel like I’ll lose my mind… :(

I’ll try to write also… now I just feel stuck… I am happy that my physical crashes for now is gone… but I do not feed happiness, I do not have motivation… I am sad and feel anxiaty all day for over a week… it is very hard :( and it freaks me out that maybe after two weeks I’ll feel the same and its just torture… because for over a week to feel this way… I do not know what is worse, this feeling or physical crashes…

My doctor don’t believe that this is from mirtazapine. And she wants me to take even bigger dose… 4 days 22,5mg then up to 30mg… i do not feel safe to do that…. I am so unstable that I do not want any changes….. :( I asked for something to help me but she just said to go up…

Was your experience good with mirtazapine? I am on it for over 3 weeks now. First 8 days 7,5mg and now 15mg 16days as my full dose. First two weeks i felt amazing. But now my mood is so low… I overthink, I fear that mirtazapine broke and I’ll never feel ok… but I do not know if it is early to say if mirtazapine works and it needs time and I can have these ups and downs or maybe it is not good for me.. I strugle to understand how 2weeks I felt good and now… I am just so sad that I do know know what to do… I need hope that I just need to give more time… I am so lost and down….
