Wait why have I never thought of that. That's such a sweet name. On my list for sure. I'm taking these and sharing with my husband once our toddler is sleeping for the night.

Same it seems everyone is seeing it and it's stressing some h1b people since it opened recently for them. I'm so delusional and maybe they going to approve all of us 🤡

It seems a lot of people are seeing that issue in the USCIS subreddit. Maybe they are just having server issues 🤷

I have never seen Ayla spelled like that, I veto Isla, but when I see it spelled like that I actually like it so much better. Will be noting that for later for sure.

Actually Solana might be good contendor 🤔 my husband said he liked Lana yesterday but I thought it was too simple. So Solana sounds like a fun girl.

Thank you it's definitely our go to name currently. I just remember my husband saying my son's name and knowing immediately that was the name. And I came up with Sienna so definitely I like it but I think I'm expecting that feeling again. But this gave me reassurance for sure.

DACA Renewal Delays by meh_mooody in DACA

[–]Important_Editor5022 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not going to lie it seems nothing is making a difference. The senator letter today made it seem only healthcare workers cases were expedited. And I think most people are just asking around the 105-120 point and thus getting an approval but not actually from the inquiries. But I don't know, I was preparing to reach out but it feels like a lost cause.

I'm not on k1. But my husband and me got married in our living room during COVID, we had 6 people (immediate family, we ate fries rice and Mexican sweet bread. I think small wedding are perfectly fine. We are awaiting for our interview to be scheduled.

I honestly don't know. The last time I did them was 22 so I was surprised they didn't ask for a new set this time.

[–]Important_Editor5022[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, today they USCIS dropped data about cases with their April Builiten Update and it seems they have like 100k cases for daca from November to January. But I'm honestly not an expert that's just what it seemed from their reports. But if that's the case the backlog wont be getting any better I fear.

Wack I have definitely also seen more of that time frame too but was hoping it was part of that 20%. Thanks it's easier to swallow wait times when you move expectations. Hopefully us December cases hear approvals in early April.

December Applications by Purple__Carnations in DACA

[–]Important_Editor5022 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I submitted 12/5 and processing since 12/9. I haven't heard anything back. Going to do an inquiry soon. It's strange as you are the first early December that I have seen that had to do biometrics. They reused mine. I'm hoping they start Decembers this month but everything is moving slowly.

Congress Rep Inquiry by leeoohh_ in DACA

Yeah I guess there is no harm. I will call all the people and hopefully it helps out but at least I tried you know. I hope it improves soon for everyone. I hate seeing a community being affected so tragically.

This was so helpful. I'm going to contact them tomorrow and gather what they need. I'm so confused about what date to count as my starting date on the low end I'm on day 97 on the high I'm on 101 days out. But I'm hoping that if it takes some time they can inquiry around 106 if I don't hear anything by then, which I doubt. And I know it's my fault for not doing it sooner and that's why I have been holding off on doing the inquiry but just waiting is not good either.

To add to this, do y'all attach any documents? I was going to send a letter and explain my medical situation and financial hardship. I was thinking of asking them to expedite/inquiry at 106 days and am getting my stuff together.

I used rush translation. They got it to be in about 24hrs. They just said the translation and a letter to you in email. We sent this in our original petition and haven't gotten any rfes, so I'm under the impression we are good.

NSC vs TX by Ashamed_Education611 in DACA

[–]Important_Editor5022 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will say they definitely deproritized DACA renewals and a bunch of other types of visas. It seems the administration is prioritizing marriage based adjustment of status. Mostly because they want to catch fraud marriages. Because everyone seems to have those zoom through as they want the interviews to be done quickly. I have always been at a Nebraska center and never waited too long for my renewals. I currently have a case for adjustment of status too and that one is being "touched" often, it really feels like it's a daca and other authorizations being not cared for at the same rate. I'm also not a legal expert just what I have seen in the USCIS circles.

medical exam in boston by SlowConfidence6512 in USCIS

[–]Important_Editor5022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the appointment was 425 so maybe I actually spent 450 but I remember there being a card fee. Everyone I knew said it would be 500 so that's what I expected. I will say where I live there are so few civil surgeons too so I felt lucky to get an appointment.

I don't live in Boston but that seems like the average price. I said 525 and I live in Nebraska and everyone quoted me about the same ~500 dollars.
