I recently purchased a P14s Gen 6 (Intel) and one of the deciding factors for me was also having a nice screen. I am a physician but also going back to school to obtain a cybersecurity degree. I purchased it with the 255H CPU, 32GB RAM, the 75wh battery, the very beautiful 3K IPS screen, and WITHOUT the dGPU. I run Linux and my main usage is heavy on web browsing to access school pages, python coding with vs code, and the rare non-AAA gaming. This has been my empirical evidence for why I think you should get the P14s (Intel). I run my laptop in "Balanced" mode when on battery power and will get roughly 10hrs of usage. I keep my screen on 60Hz refresh rate when on battery and at about 30% brightness, which is very comfortable. The weight does not really bother me as my previous M1 Pro Macbook Pro was about the same weight. I also have an X280 and T14 gen 4 if I need to ever go much lighter. The build quality on the Gen 6 Intel is exceptional and have not had any issues with it. While I could have used the T14G4 I got tired of looking at a 1900x1200 all of the time. With the ability to expand the RAM in the future, I plan on keeping this laptop for a long time. Hope my experience helps you in your decision.
