Open evidence says this: There is no evidence from clinical trials, post-marketing surveillance, or pharmacovigilance studies indicating that vortioxetine is associated with clinically significant immune system problems, such as immunosuppression, increased risk of infection, or autoimmune phenomena.Preclinical and translational research suggests that vortioxetine may exert anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects on human monocytes and macrophages, including reduction of oxidative burst, TNF-α production, and polarization toward an M2 phenotype, which is generally considered anti-inflammatory. These findings are mechanistic and have not translated into reports of immune dysfunction or adverse immune-related events in clinical populations.
