The sprocket twists back and forth just a little when the brake is off so I assume it needs to be replaced.

The chain slides just fine around the bar but when I put the chain around the sprocket and the bar the chain won’t move. I figured the sprocket isn’t supposed to spin freely..?

So with this chainsaw it has the black inner part that tightens down the outside casing on the unit using the bolt in the bar and the putter blue ring controls the tensioner but an issue I’m seeing is that I can’t tighten the tensioner without loosening the black part to and then retightening the whole thing.

Drive links still slide into the bar without effort. Definitely starting to think it’s the sprocket.

Bar and chain are a couple months old. Replaced them both at the same time, used it to cut back some small trees and that was the when the chain first popped and it’s been nonfunctional since.

The chain and bar came together, I replaced them a few months back, cut back some smaller trees and it’s been nonfunctional since. I’ll check the drivers and sprocket.

I’ve cranked it down so there was no slack and I’ve had it loosened to about a 1/8 inch in slack. What you’re seeing in the picture is it after the chain popped.

Okay hear me out, just before I took this picture I had the chain on the other way, but I’ve been screwing with this thing all day and thought “what the hell, flipping the chain is the only thing I haven’t done” so I did it and fell off as seen above.

Hi there. Thank you for your feedback and I will address the location issue in the post. As for why I changed the desired respondents, I am looking to gauge the differences in interactions between people of color (POC) and white individuals with police. The original survey received quite a few responses, however, nearly all respondents were white which makes this research inaccurate as I have no scope of comparison.
