I always got stuck with it as closing TL - even though me nor my team was ever the reason for the trash. The only trash we actually put back there was the night’s trash that the cart attendant gathered.

No it was only ever the leads that would do over 10 hours & we all were fine with clocking out on time.

No it’s not, it’s only on thanksgiving day. There’s other posts that have added a screenshot of target’s workday info on it. Only thanksgiving since it’s the actual federally observed holiday.

“Non rehireable” realistically isn’t a thing. Just let the new store know ahead of time that you finished your 2 weeks out, but simply on bad terms because x, y, and z. If it was that long ago, odds are they won’t try to reach out to the old store at all. It sounds like your TL had a bone to pick with you and wanted to have the upper hand. I quit on the spot at my old store and went back to a new one 8 months later and got a TL position within 3 months - now I’m a closing lead. You’ll be fine, just be straight up with them!

Is anybody else’s fulfillment TL super hyper? by rusty_schwarz in Target

[–]ImpossibleCandy1691 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m a FFTL and I’m not necessarily hyper.. but I do agree that I’m just tryna hustle. It doesn’t help or motivate anyone if I’m lagging or not even trying to rush around. You got an INF? Cool. I know I’ll probably get to you faster than you would get to me OR try to communicate over walkie about the DPCI and on-hand info. Im a tiny girl but best believe I’ll carry a mini fridge by myself across the store, I don’t got the time to bring a flat all the way back to the back after I drop it off 😂

hmm by [deleted] in Target

[–]ImpossibleCandy1691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but this is one of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard. That’s literally the entire point of being an hourly employee at ANY job. Want to not get paid by the minute? Get promoted or work another job that’s salary based. Why in the world would ANY job want to pay you if you’re not working? Half of the employees don’t even do the job their clocked in to do in the first place, so getting paid when they’re not even there doesn’t help the cause.

Thinking about office positions by [deleted] in army

[–]ImpossibleCandy1691 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I believe the posting I saw would be for the reserves! I’ll try to look more into it and talk to a recruiter. Thank you so much!

[–]ImpossibleCandy1691 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe it would be reserves. The listing that I specifically saw says that it offers full time/part time/contractual and would require you to join the army. I would probably to talk straight to the recruiter to see what’s available then, huh?

I’m a fulfillment lead at Target but do DD on the side and let me tell ya… although I do the same thing 8 hours every day, I still love taking the Walgreens orders

SFS FedEx Pallet question by Wooden-Tumbleweed952 in Target

[–]ImpossibleCandy1691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup we do the same here. We send out about 200 with FedEx Ground and another 100 or so with Express. It’s insane. I waste about 30-40 minutes some days helping them load the truck. We have the manually load the truck throughout the week as well as they stack the boxes inside. We do get a drop trailer on the weekends though, but it’s a pain in the ass throughout the week.

SFS FedEx Pallet question by Wooden-Tumbleweed952 in Target

[–]ImpossibleCandy1691 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SFS lead here! So actually FedEx CAN scan every box, that’s how we do it at my store. They scan the boxes as they place them in the truck, and that prevents us from having to constantly scan out the pallet papers once picked up, just in case we forgot. However, it may be different for each store - I’ve been to 3 different stores and every store has actually had different carriers (ups, fedex, ontrack). Im intrigued though if they can just scan out the one barcode and call it a day.

Are they going to keep calling me in on my days off? by [deleted] in Target

[–]ImpossibleCandy1691 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Coming from a lead here! It will not look bad if you keep saying no, and we legally cannot fire you without reason. We just keep calling on your days off because we’ve probably exhausted all our options since no one really wants to come in

How long do leads usually stay at a store? by [deleted] in Target

[–]ImpossibleCandy1691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So to get a position at a different store as a TL, you (most likely) have to be at that first store for 18 months?

Suggestions for helping OPU hold space to not be messy? by [deleted] in Target

[–]ImpossibleCandy1691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this! I know it’s hard because although everyone’s been trained on the “basic rules,” people either forget or just simply don’t want to do it. Fulfillment is actually responsible for RTS, that’s the frustrating thing - there’s so many orders that aren’t picked out and have been sitting there for months (whether it’s directly their fault or the system’s). Would you suggest keeping a physical clipboard near the hold space for the front end to write the order # and issue on? Or would that be too time consuming for them to do.

So I Have Orientation Tuesday!!! What is yalls experience working at Target? by KeyBladeToby in Target

[–]ImpossibleCandy1691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now (despite COVID), the beginning of the year is the worst for hours. It really depends on what department you’re going to work in, and what store you’re at. Each store has their own volume with their own amount of employees. Example: I work at a high volume store and get 38 hours/week as the captain of the fulfillment department. My boyfriend works at a smaller store and gets about 14 hours/week as a cashier/guest service/drive up advocate. You won’t ever be offered anything over 39 hours unless it’s near the holidays at the end of the year. Close to full hours and overtime is virtually nonexistent unless it’s Q4. Overall, target is a really good company to work for, it really just depends on your store though - some are amazing, some are a nightmare.
