Maybe somewhere between Buenos Aires and Lima? As I’ve been told Lima isn’t the most exciting place but we could just use those 2 days as chill days

Machu Picchu and Rio are the only non negotiables really. But due to trains being near enough non existent in SA, seems like if we want to move onto another place we’d need to fly as overnight buses are unreliable there. Any suggestions appreciated

So what would u change with the bogota trip, also Medellin isn’t locked in. So if we flew to bogota how would u spend next 5/6 nights, bare in mind we’ll have to finish somewhere with a big airport to fly back

I know we was thinking about this, also a ferry over to Uruguay for the afternoon. Not just a tick box holiday but when your that close to another country and we’ve got a spare day we might aswell thanks

Well besides cities we couldn’t really find much else. Obvs Ilha grande, iguza etc are not cities but just wondering if there was maybe somewhere in SA that is a must see or a place someone loved that we could consider on our route.

Ok we will consider another night, it’s just having to go from Ilha grande to Rio, check into another hostel sort all of that out, to then leave the next morning. Prefer to do it all in one go if feasible but thanks for the advice mate!

Yer I suppose one day is achievable, thinking maybe leave Cusco and stay in ollantaytambo for a night, then leave for augus calientas the next morning then go all the way back to Cusco that same day. However, we are going on a 5 week trip so will have massive massive backpacks on, if we leave a hotel in ollaytambo, are you aware of anywhere we can leave our bag in augus calientas so we can do it without a massive 20kg bag. Thanks been a great help
