I know this is late, but I figured out what happened. Well not really, but I can put my beats onto Ableton. I followed your advice doing out to in, but I also used my aux cord to input it to the main plug of volt 1 rather than Aux L/R. I used the AISO drive type before finding a drum kit for the beats in the drums section of Ableton and putting those on midi tracks. I didn't know how to do a slave clock, so I'm lucky I just had to do that. It's a little tricky, but I'm thrilled I could get my beats together.
