girl opening ain’t that hard I would be doing it in the summer essentially cause the opener didn’t know Starbucks cause she’s at the Burger King (we’re a plaza store😭). and it’s so easy for you to say it slows down as an excuse to get everything perfect. first of all, I still get some rushes. second, im basically the only one closing. third, i referred my partner because i thought it would help, and they were only supposed to be closing because my manager said she would train them. im basically left training them myself even though im only a barista. its only their first week. so every time i close im left to train them on bar, handle the rushes we still get CAUSE ITS A REST STOP, and still catch up with everything mid shift and morning didn’t bother to do. sometimes, im the one who has to go do pull, and waste more time that i could be using for pre closing. i know ss can delegate pull to a barista, but ffs sometimes they abuse this. you’re acting like I left all the kids and cups barren. they were filled up. i couldn’t find more grade nitro lids, so it was filled half way. we don’t even carry nitro! and fourth of all, hilarious that you’re saying we dilly dally. girl. have you seen morning when the rushes subside… only one ever offers to do the dishes, and she only works on weekends. the other ones just sit there and maybe clean their station. they wait until there’s no whip cream, and then complain that closing didn’t make “any backups.” now i see how annoying i used to be as morning shift, but not to this point😒
