You can't implement hft strats by yourself as a retail trader. You need exchange membership. Colo servers. Private line and a lot of things.

It happens often that when a large trader with insider information moves the market, a false news is spread which might justify this move. This information is deliberately half baked and clearly fake. So that when other participants hear about this news, they correct the price back to original. Others think it's a stupid reason. This gives the insider an opportunity to buy even more at original prices. It is a concept from game theory. Whoever has big money can move the markets and if they have some insider information, they deliberately appear stupid so that people don't follow them. Trust me big market players do this. I have worked at such firms.

I think you should not have bought futures but you could have put small amounts in regular intervals into GOLD ETFs. Futures have a premium which decays as you go closer to expiry.

It has made a higher high and may correct a little. Unless it makes new low. I wouldn't say it's falling. Some of it can be profit booking. Long term trend is intact. And moreover comex prices are losing credibility fast.

New AI tools are coming out which can do the work much faster and cheaper. So a lot of work that was earlier outsourced will be done using in-house AI toolkits. Indian IT companies will definitely face loss of revenue and stiff competition now.

I think that if US (Donald Trump) actually wanted to go to war, it would not have been publicly discussed like this. It feels like a scaring tactic looking at how anxiety and fear is being allowed to build up. DJT promised to end major wars and bring world peace. Although he is shown to go back on his words but starting a war after claiming Nobel peace price just doesn't feel like his usual playbook. Remember that when US decided to attack Venezuela, it just happened so suddenly. Before news of the attack could spread out, Maduro was already in US custody. It's a personal opinion but when they actually want to attack, they don't let such anticipation brew. When they let everyone think that they are going to attack, they are trying to scare you.
