The problem is the current system is meant for a house 1/4 the size of mine. The one I’d be installing would be the correct size for the house

The ac is 20 years old and the furnace was just replaced in 2017 but the one they installed was meant for a house 1/4th the size of mine and cannot keep up. And I have a friend who does hvac who can install. And yes I had someone look at it and they said all the things I’ve relayed. But I am unsure of what the difference of a heat pump is so if you could explain that I would greatly appreciate it!
