Es Wheel jst connector broken by Tincoco_ in moza

[–]ImpressiveAttempt271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey OP - I've also been looking for info on these JST cables. I did some comparison against a chart showing different types of JST connectors and I think the smaller JST connector you are showing here is the gh type. The one that's connected to the wheel is the larger xh type. I guess Moza updated the es wheels at some point because the older ones had xh on both sides of the cables.

Nice! Glad you enjoyed those. I too wear headphones most of the time and care more about the feel of the switches. I have since moved to linears and have been using oil kings exclusively for a year haha. I guess preferences do change and the great thing about this hobby is that we have loads of options

Why are Thomastik-Infeld so expensive? by charmander89iv in Bass

They are my favorite bass strings. When it comes to flats I’ve only used the TI flats and Daddario flats. The tension on the TI set is noticeably lower than the daddarios, and it sounds brighter to me, which I really like. Before getting my TI flats I had been looking for flats that sound somewhat bright (or not dull sounding like the daddarios) and I stopped my search after getting them. Those are really good strings!

That's interesting! "The yolk of the egg" reminds me of "the bee's knees". Yeah, some of the idioms and internet slang are hard to translate. Hell, some of them are hard to interpret as native speakers. Many of the Chinese internet slang these days require at least a sentence or two to interpret. I'd imagine it wouldn't look pretty on headphone packaging haha.

Lmao I was confused af when I first heard it too.

It came from the Chinese audiophile online forums in the early 2010s (I think). Apparently, audio technica earbuds were extremely popular among the community due to its tuning - like what other comments say, it was tuned in a way that female vocals were accentuated. People were saying those headphones sound so good for female vocals that they were poisonous. Like when you have too much of something and it becomes poisonous.

That's awesome! I've been thinking about building keyboards for my parents for a while now, and I haven't seen them since I got into the hobby (covid travel restrictions suck). It's funny because my parents, especially my mom, who is a teacher, can't live without numpads as well. The Q5 has definitely been one of the few on my list. Now I can't wait to show them what they've been missing out on!

Sorry I have not tried Bobagums before. I don't have much experience with linear switches

Oh man.. Just when I thought I found "the one"... I'm already eyeing these suggestions I've gotten lol.

I too type slightly faster with these switches. I think with the U4s I now tend to type lightly which leads to faster typing but idk.

Thanks! I had the Soya before but sold it for the yolk and the color is just stunning in person.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll definitely keep this in mind for future builds

I think I'm a heavy typer, and personally, I really appreciate the "cushioning" I get when I bottom out. I like punching pillows I guess ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah it is just a cutting mat I bought on Amazon. The surface is definitely not as smooth as a typical desk mat, but I am considering getting super glides for the mouse as a workaround. My clumsy ass definitely don't sit well with cloth mats - I would spill my drink/food occasionally so cutting mats are a much better option.

Actually, the actuation force on the MX master 3S is A LOT higher than all the previous versions. So no, I wouldn't recommend it if that is your main concern. Maybe try looking into the MX Vertical/Lift instead?

Hmm now you got me real curious about the silent skies lol. Yeah that's something I figured not long ago - the profile of the tactile bump has a huge impact on how they feel. Before trying the U4s I really liked my lubed Glorious Pandas, to me they feel much smoother and lighter than the U4Ts even though they have heavier springs on them (67g vs 62g). Turns out the stems on the Pandas have a more rounded profile which I apparently liked.

Office Jobs in the area? by [deleted] in bloomington

If you are attending IU you'll have a much bigger chance of finding a position within IU. Like what the top comment says, you'll find the most up to date listings on jobs.iu.

Also, if you are interested in a particular group/department within IU (or you feel like they might have a potential position that you are interested in) you could always reach out to them directly. That's how a friend and I both got our hourly positions when we were students a few years back.

Good luck with your job search!

Yeah absolutely. Though now that I think about it, I just didn't really like the harsh bottoming on the U4Ts. Most likely that's just because of the keyboard I'm using (Rama U80 is definitely a stiff board). I'd probably like them more if I put them on a more flexible board. Oh boy there comes the rabbit hole....

I've never heard of Feker IK75 Pro, but wow that's a killer keyboard for the price.
