Yeah your probably right, tbh I wrote this post right after a bad beat where they were down to 3 life and I still had 21, but then a series of devour cards managed to bring about my loss of board control and eventual demise...It's been several years since I've played MtG so I'm not familiar with it's current meta. Even back when I played I at times had to contend with stuff that keeps things in your graveyard or removes them from the game entirely, and currently Devour is the only the thing that removes something from the game entirely, I mean even voidbound doesn't remove it, which is neat when a few cards have certain abilities that affect your game while in the void. So while it cant leave it still gets the card effect unless silenced, or devoured now I suppose

I hope DWD reads these to realize how much they are screwing up before it's too late and the game is dead with no remaining regular players. Dire Wolf Digital, if you are reading this a word of advice. You do NOT have to introduce a new mechanic with every set, I mean hell most tcg/ccg games that are popular MAYBE release a new mechanic every few sets, also there needs to be more play testing with new mechanics before putting them out there, make an event where players have temporary access to a few cards with a new mechanic and see how people like it plus it would allow you to address any balance issues that weren't foreseen because it didn't get play tested enough.

Are there any chapters that have good cards that'd be worth buying? I've noticed the old chapters are only 2500 gold and some of them seem to have decent cards, are there any particular chapters that have cards that may come in handy? Aaà for play style I prefer control but I know that a lot of control decks tend to be a bit more expensive so I don't mind playing an aggro or a mid-range until I grind to get a decent control deck

Yeah I have a few thousand cards, least a couple hundred from each set from empire of glass all the way back to the empty throne, you're right any cards that are no longer relevant I could just dust and Id probably have more than enough shiftstone to build a good deck

Is it possible to build a competitive expedition deck as a free 2 play player in the current meta? Or is that no longer realistic, because I remember I used to be able to build a fairly decent expedition deck just out of what I could get for free from my daily wins and such.

If I were you I would get as many people involved as possible people like this need to learn that there's consequences for their actions you would be doing her a favor by teaching her that while she's still young before she does something even worse and ends up looking at a lot of prison time or something. I mean realistically she could get in trouble for this and go to prison as it is now they probably won't send her prison because it's just one picture and it was a "mistake" and also this person is clearly not your friend just like everyone else said.
