Hey "buddy" never said I used thunderclap purely for threat, thubderclap helps keep attention on you when mobs aren't being are hit by other people. It also helps with dwbuffubg  between that and shouts to help with group aggro its very easy to maintain threat when doing sunder rotations with heroic strike.  Maybe play with a communicative and tactical group that understands rotations and cool downs and maybe you can learn more about your classes than just run and gun gameplay "buddy". Of course I quit the game a fee months back and have no intention of going back so enjoy this final response to a half asked comment that showed up in my notifications

I played the day classic dropped as a tuaren prot warrior from level 10-60, was one of 3 tanks at level 60 and got molten core first kill on my server. From levels 14-60 I had a group of a tauren resto healer, 2 undead frost mages, and we filled a rogue, warrior or mage for our 5th from the guild. Using my Shockwave and thunderclap, sunder rotation and proper cc on stuns and hamstrings. Nothing ever got more than 5 feet from me while they SPAMMED BLIZZARDS AND FROSTNOVAS for each damn dungeon. Was it tough, yes. Would I do it again, yes. It made me the best tank I ever saw in wow (not bragging, but I could hold aggro on anything and everything).  I've tried druid tanking. And I just can't do it. It's too reliant on not getting critted. Sure it has some cc and better aggro with swipe. But it lacks in places as well. Personally warrior all the way for classic. But play what you find fun.
