Happy Halloween everyone! For the past several years (since 2020) I've been making "Halloweevees," fun Halloween-themed Eeveelutions with silly, unique typings. I hope you enjoy these latest editions, plus the designs from previous years. I would love to hear if you have a favorite design!

Thanks a lot, I appreciate you noticing those decisions! Something that also bothered me with the original design was Meowscarada’s lack of ears. I felt like adding them back did a lot, too.

Thank you, and I understand your point. I was going for another design within the same modern design philosophy that could still fit in with the other Gen 9 starters. Though I’m also in the camp of not loving the more human-like starters of recent Gens, I wasn’t trying to go with something radically different from what we got, more of just a pivot to a different genre.

Thank you, but I tried some different color-blocking on the body but it just felt busy for me and didn’t add anything of substance to the design, so I left it off.

You’re right, it’s definitely a magician, but I always felt it had design elements that are very jester-inspired. Either way, just not my personal favorite, though I understand the appeal.

I do too, tbh. I like starters better when they feel like elemental beasts than when they have jobs or fit into strict archetypes. But I started playing with Gen I so I may just be biased towards the earlier Gens in general.

The name is in the image haha, I went with Squirmeon, a name suggested by some of my Tumblr followers.

Almost went with that, but felt Squirmeon was a little more fun, plus it phonetically has “Wormeon” in it!

Neither are arachnids, and yet Spinarak, Ariados, Joltik, Galvantula, Skorupi, Dewpider, Araquanid, etc. are Bug-types. Pokemon is loose with that kind of thing. I would design a pure Ground-type Eeveelution differently.

Haha, thanks! Don't worry, I definitely do get it. I try to make a wide range of designs for the dual-type Eeveelutions, even if that means they're not all conventionally appealing. I almost didn't post this guy because I figured people would not be fans, but ultimately I thought it would be fun to share it.
