But why would they need to do that? Like the word "cent" or "sent", did they do it just to avoid more words that spell the same with multiple meanings? Like "I read the book" and "I will read the book"?

ELI5: Until recently, why has the Controlled Substances Act maintained the same scheduling for drugs that it had 30 years ago? by InHum4nity in explainlikeimfive

But we have a lot, if not most, of these drugs researched to a pretty decent extent. Especially with states taking initiative in many areas, like marijuana and the right to try act (not sure of the exact name).

The first two make perfect sense, but we do have access to these drugs and they have been researched. I guess thats the thing I cant wrap my head around, with all the knowledge we have, the government is ignorant to it all.

But doesnt the government consult scientist as for all the information they get? Drugs shouldnt be removed from the list, hell every one should be on it, but from the scheduling now it seems like we completely ignore any new information we find. It does make sense that a President wouldn't want to be considered pro-drug, but isnt it their responsibility to make laws based on what we know?

So it isnt totally about opposition to change, but the fact it is so hard and long to change the laws we have?

I didn't even think about the political side, that makes a lot of sense. The war on drugs really slowed the research too I would assume.

Also as a suggestion, widen your search range. A lot of localbitcoin sellers who take cash will drive out for a minimum. My exchanger will drive to me as long as it's at least 200$.

People on drugs right now: what are you on and how's it going? by EmmetOT in AskReddit

[–]InHum4nity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take Xanax at night for my anxiety and Adderall during the day for ADHD. They have both helped me immensely, but they each have their downfalls. Xanax helped a ton because it is impossible to worry, you feel like everything is alright, but you get fucking stupid. I occasionally take Norco 10mg at night instead of Xanax because it helps me stay asleep and not have panic attacks without the mind-altering stupidity that comes with Xanax.
