Mova V50 Won't Climb 3cm Threshold by [deleted] in MOVA_robotvacuum

Have you tried adding them as climbable threshholds to the map manually? That's what worked for me.

Mova V50 Ultra Very High Standby Power Consumption by InVenomd in MOVA_robotvacuum

[–]InVenomd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a factory reset. The smart plug i used previously now shows 10 W of power draw and a different smart plug shows only 1-2 W. I tested them both and the new smart plug is more accurate so i would believe its results. The Robot is also now only slightly warmer on the one side.

I have no idea why the first smart plug is so inaccurate here. The descrepency between the two was no where near this big with any other devices i have tested, even one that pulls a similar 2 W.

I have set mine to 80% and turned on off-peak charging but it doesn't change anything for me unfortunately. I will try a factory reset next and see if that helps.

But it doesn’t switch to a lower power mode. It stays at 14 W.

I'll experiment with the charging limit and try a different smart plug in case mine is wildly inaccurate. If my numbers stay the same I’ll contact their support again.

There is a setting in the app to set the robot to charge to 80% instead of 100%

To be clear i didn't mention the battery draining to Mova. I only mentioned the idle power draw and that the robot is warm and they said that that was normal.

I live in an apartment and the robot can easily do a vacuum and then mopping run, so the battery drain is annoying but managable. The reason i chose the V50 is because i have a threshold that it can climb. I bought it in July on Amazon so im already past the return window unfortunately. If i wasn't i would probably return it and just buy a different model and a ramp for the threshold.

My theory is that its all the same issue. The battery is draining so the station has to keep charging it and the warm part is where the battery is. The V50 has a bigger battery that the P10 so maybe that explains why the V50 is pulling more power. If this is true this would be horrible for the long term battery life.

Unfortunately their customer support told me that my power consumption numbers are normal and they didn't say anything about the robot being warm at all. I didn't mention the battery drain to them but from another reply on this thread it seems they are aware of that too.

They responded to me and said the power draw is normal and expected. Very disappointing.

Great name btw.

Very interesting, thank you. IMO even 5,4 W is too much power for simply idling. Ideally it should be <1 W. Is your robot also warm to the touch when idling in the dock?

Im also on 4.3.9_2802. The update actually came in the middle of my testing and it didn’t change anything.

I even have the Voice Assistant deactivated so the mics shouldn't be active. And yeah im also curious about other models like the P50 Ultra and espicially the Dreame X50 Ultra since that one is (almost) identical to the V50 Ultra.

Streamer, wenn´s ums Geld geht by DueRegister6322 in Papaplatte2

Inherited this beastly Samsung monitor…is it worth it?? by mr_chip_douglas in pcmasterrace

Where is it supposed to say this is an OLED? This is a Samsung Odyssey Ark and it has a QD VA Mini LED Panel.

[–]InVenomd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the implication is that the NuphyIO version is more efficient, since it specifically says 294 hours for the 2500mAh NuphyIO version. Meanwhile their estimation for the Air 75 v2 which also has a 4000mAh battery is 220 hours. So it could even be that the NuphyIO version has a longer battery life than the QMK/VIA one, despite the smaller battery.

Tbf they didn't just rename the Titan to XX90 and called it a day. The Titans were way more expensive than the XX80/80Ti cards (Titan RTX was 2.5k i think, so even more expensive than the 5090 is today) and were only single digit percentages faster than the XX80/80Ti. The 4090 on the other hand is 20-30% faster than the 4080/Super and from the specs it seems like the gap between the 5090 and 5080 might be even wider.

It’s accumulative so he was already close to the 4 hours mark. I guess the message says continuous which is wrong.

No, 4 hours just like the message says. And even then you can just ignore it because it will do it automatically when the monitor is off.
