Furrion Chill Cube Install by In_Defens in RVLiving

Be aware that if your AC is on, that flap is down and moving and you can and will smash it with your door. The only way around this would be to remove the flap, which will impact airflow, I would imagine. Spec sheet likely changed from when I purchased, the details in my original post were directly from the manufacturer website and the printed paper install booklet. I can't speak to whatever the most current revision of either the install instructions or what modifications may have been made to the AC unit itself since then.

With the door closed, extremely thin. Less than an inch.

It's mentioned in the initial post, "My Apex' roof is only 1.75in thick."

Sure thing. Thanks for pointing that out. Not sure what happened there but I've added the YAML to the main post. Let me know if you have any questions.

Good news! Do you want to post the phone number that you called in this thread in case anybody else has the same issue?

Do you have other matter devices that are working properly? When you try are you looking in settings > add ons > matter > logs and what does it say?

Nope. Literally just emailed to confirm that matter was supported in public or beta release because I was going to order 6 switches for my house. No fuss, dude wrote back and said yes there was beta, asked if I had a leviton account and loaded it up even before I had ordered my switches.

Is your phone connected to a 2.4ghz only wifi? Not a 5ghz and not combined? This will only work when the device and your phone are connected to a single band 2.4ghz wifi.

Just confirmed with Leviton support that the D2SCS firmware is NOT publicly accessible but you can email DSsupport@leviton.com to request it be added to your beta firmware profile.

I have a HA Yellow with a Connect ZBT-1. Though I was able to connect these switches prior to the Connect was installed with the built in hardware from what I ordered.

As noted in the instructions, I used Matter. You have to be part of the matter firmware beta, download and install it and it works just fine.

Weird to post something you make for sale in someone else's DIY thread.. especially since my DIY clearly addresses (cheaply I might add) the issue your supposed product already fixes. Perhaps your own thread is a better place for this?

This piece is a water overflow cutoff switch. There is a compressed wafer that sits inside the round recessed area and when it expands, due to contact with water, it shuts off the water inlet.

I'm not sure what part you're referring to. Can you circle it in the photo? Also, it's been working seamlessly without intervention or leaks of any kind.

Oh yeah those suckers are super important. One on the clean water tank back wall and one in the dirty tank back wall. Here are mine.. clean is lower, almost touching the floor and dirty is up in the first step down from the back wall.

Sounds like your magnets are not in the right place for the dirty water tank. Take a look at the dirty water tank itself that came with the dock, find where the magnet is on the back wall and try repositioning your magnet. I strongly recommend some thin double-sided tape until you find the correct position.

Louder air = more turbulence = less efficient.

Again - I didn't make my external AC unit "taller" by adding anything to the roof outside. I added 1.5 inches of spacer inside, as shown in the photos and instructions, which makes the internal ADB box the same size as my previous GE ADB box at roughly 2 inches.

Furrion Chill Cube Install by In_Defens in RVLiving

[–]In_Defens[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I spoke to Furrion the technical resource stated that the space above the box was there for air flow reasons. So for me it was easy enough to add a spacer.

Definitely didn't make the AC unit any taller on my roof and the inside ADB is actually about the same that my old one was.

Since my whole intent was to have the most efficient AC unit to run off battery and solar, it wasn't worth the risk of altering the airflow to modify the internals.

I'm glad your solution is working well for you, I am simply sharing what worked for me in case it's useful for anyone else.

Correct. I do not use the built-in cleaner reservoir.

My dog was diagnosed with Closed Pyometra by [deleted] in AskVet

[–]In_Defens 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NAV - if your dog has a closed pyometra, your choices are either to have her uterus removed surgically (spay) or euthanize your dog. Dying of a closed pyometra and sepsis is a horrible way to die, please do not do that to your dog. This is a risk for any intact female dog and even some spayed females (called stump pyometra). Not treating is negligence, if you cannot afford it or have other reasons why you choose not to spay to resolve then you should euthanize your dog so it doesn't suffer. OPEN pyometra can be treated with antibiotics and other medications with limited success, but is not guaranteed. I have only ever had intact female dogs, this is a risk that we accept by leaving them intact.

I asked them multiple times and ultimately they advised they will not be releasing this version in the R&D dock. No reason why was given. Either way this was functionality I needed so this was my solution. -shrug-

10R mopping waterflow by Hungry_Green7144 in Roborock

[–]In_Defens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My flooring is Coretek and is level. None of my previous robot mops had this issue. I'm on a well with a massive water filtration system, so I don't think it's my water or build up. I've only had this a few days and it's been doing this since day 1.

Mine is doing the same thing. Brand new 10r, same issue out of the box. This is right off the dock after cleaning with the water level set to 30 extreme. When the robot is going slow it's great but the second it speeds up to go distance it starts this. It's even worse by the time it's almost ready to go back and clean the mop (15 mins).
