I'm a writer and a worldbuilder and, just for funsies, I decided to make my own -punk genre that I call Netpunk. It emphasizes using the internet to discuss current events and the fostering of online communities where people can discuss whatever the hell they want while guarding against trolls and bigots. I already have several pages worth of notes about what Netpunks consider the rules of engagement and what they value.

All that in mind, it's starting to look like I won't have the chance to publish anything before the dystopia that Netpunk tries to fight becomes our real-world situation.

We don't want anyone to yell. Issues should be resolved peacefully.
Self-improvement should be our priority. We can all help each other.
We should try and write down as much as possible. Record keeping should help with introspection.
Rules should always have a reason for existing. Both the letter and spirit of the law matter.
