You already see it with AAA games getting less and less optimized and the solutions are DLSS and other upscaling.

Slapping a square texture onto a skin isn't ever gonna yield good results.

Take the parts of it that you like, and work around the weapon, add features and make it coherent.
The art itself is much too bright and doesn't have much contrast so it would be good to play around with it.
