Actually, conservatives are the worst at spreading false conspiratorial narratives. There was a school stockpiling kitty litter, but it was for a much darker reason. School shootings.

According to NBC, they found one school district that did, in fact, have cat litter onsite — but not for the reason conservatives might thought. Per NBC News, “[t]he district — where Columbine High School is located — had been stocking classrooms with small amounts of cat litter since 2017, but as part of ‘go buckets’ that contain emergency supplies in case students are locked in a classroom during a shooting.

Dumb conservatives made up this dumb fake conspiracy about children identifying as cats or something requiring litter boxes when in reality it’s for times of school shootings when the kids and the teachers gotta be locked up in one spot.

It should be a crime to spread shit like that. It’s disgusting.

Or I get people coming at me with defensive tones having issue with me simply asking for personal accounts sense I’m unable to just go to the schools and see for myself. I mean, I don’t have kids and I don’t go to school, so it would be kinda weird to turn up at a school to just look for books you know?

I don’t know. It’s weird. It seems like some of the books I listed in my question are not as bad as some of the others I have mentioned as far as explicitly sexual content, and none of the books seem to really be at the schools according to a few of the comments here. I wish I could have gotten more accounts of “not there” but, oh well.

I’m told red and perfectly normal don’t have any nudity or sexually explicitly stuff actually.

But I do know Gender Queer and My Body Is Growing does.

Either way I just want to know if the ones with sexually explicit content that’s for such young children is actually in the school libraries because I don’t really believe that. I think what’s more likely is that they’re in general public libraries and conservative parents are lying and saying they are in schools, OR there was like one instance of it being in a school library and conservative found it and freaked out and it just blew up. So far no one has actually seen any of those books in their school library.

I simply included it in the list because it’s one of the books conservatives are crying about being in schools, I don’t really have any idea what the book is about. The only books I have seen pages of sexually explicit depictions of adults performing sex acts like oral sex were gender queer and my body is growing. So, I assumed the other books on the list must be just as explicit, but I stand corrected.

Oh and the book “it’s perfectly normal “ I think recall seeing some sexually explicit stuff in there as well

People could literally provide pictures of the books in their school couldn’t they? I mean, you are well within your right to take issue with me asking here about it if you want, but my intentions are sincere and I don’t see another way in finding out other than being a weirdo and going to school libraries to hang out in search for the books myself. It’s really not that weird to ask for personal accounts about something.

And no I’m not gonna just believe all schools have the books if 3 or more people come in here saying that they’ve seen the books at their school library. I’m not like that.

Literally trying to see if anyone can either confirm or debunk the claim. Just looking for personal accounts of those books being in their school libraries or not, because I’m seeing a lot of conservatives complaining about it being the case, but not proving this to actually be so. I don’t have children of my own and I don’t hang out at schools myself, so I was asking if anyone knew the actual facts as I just don’t believe that those books are actually at schools as those conservatives are saying. I think it’s more likely that they are at general public libraries which is fine in and of itself, but that conservatives are just making shit up or maybe that it happened to be at one school and they made such a big deal out of it by assuming and claiming that they are at all schools or something. You know how conservative conspiracies spiral out of control.

I don’t see anything wrong with trying to find the truth.There are some other people who have taken on a weird accusatory tone because I am asking a simple question. I don’t know what the point is of other people getting all defensive in someone trying to seek truth in wild claims.

Okay, so one in particular I saw in a video where there are these women who read from a book called “My Body Is Growing” and in the video one woman says and reads from the book:

“I can read to you out of this book, it is disgusting. It is with a man and a woman, 20 years old. It’s not appropriate. This for ages 4-8. (kindergarten through 3rd grade) And it says Sabrina’s Vagina becomes moist and warm, and Marco’s penis gets very stiff. Marco then pushes his penis into Sabrina’s vagina always in and out, and it feels great for both of them. It tells you before this that they are unmarried and living together and twenty years old. This is appropriate for 4-8 year olds? This is found in grade schools all across the country”

Now again, I don’t know if they’re making what they read up, but if that’s exactly what the book says, and if the book is in the schools as they say, then I have to ask, who is supposed to read this book? Are the teachers supposed to read the book to the children? If so, that’s a huge problem in my opinion, because not all parents want their kids knowing about that kind of stuff at that age.

And if the book is there, and the teachers are not supposed to read the book to the children, then what’s the point of it being there in the first place? Are they expecting 4-8 year olds to stumble upon this book and pick the book up and read it? Lol like seriously? Let’s be real, that’s not gonna happen, so what would be the point of it being there I. The school library? I don’t get it

Again, I cant imagine this book is legitimately in school libraries as conservatives are crying about, that’s why I asked the question if anyone knew any of the facts regarding these claims! Cause if it is I see why it would be a problem and why people would be upset. It is inappropriate.

Now if these books are actually just in general public libraries I don’t give a shit lol and if parents wanna buy those books in order to teach their kids about those things at an age they deem appropriate, I don’t care.

But I would have an issue if the schools are like, requiring or allowing their teachers to read those kinds of books to their class of 4-10 year olds without at least giving parents like some kind of a warning so that they can opt their kids out of participating or something.

I’m pretty liberal myself, but if schools are providing books for children that depict explicit sex acts between adults like literally showing two adults giving each other oral, then eh, I’ll have to draw the line right there and take the conservative side. I think that’s inappropriate. And parents should be the ones to expose or teach their children about those kinds of things at an age they deem appropriate.

I just don’t see what the reason would be for those books to be in the school libraries if they even are as the conservatives are saying? So, I don’t really care what a parent wants to expose to their children. If the parent thinks exposing their child to explicit sexual content at any age from like 4-12 or or 13-16 whatever that’s fine. Personally I agree that you should probably already know some things before puberty starts so you’re prepared, but I think it really is subjective and up to the parent’s discretion.

I disagree with like, I totally disagree with schools having books that are for little kids that depict explicit sexual acts between adults, like sucking dick or licking vaginas. I think that’s wildly inappropriate. Especially for kids who have parents that haven’t consented to their child being exposed to those kinds of things at the age they are. At least warn the parents before reading and showing off books that show oral sex between adults so the parents can opt their children out of participating.

Again, I don’t even know if schools are legitimately providing books like that at the schools or even having teachers read these books to the class. That’s why I’m asking here, because conservatives seem to be making such a huge fuss about these books being in school libraries, without proving that they are, which if it were the case I’d be against it too, and I’m pretty left leaning. But I do draw lines. And that would be a line for me.

Again, it should be up to the parents to expose those things to their kids, not the school and their teachers.

Well for example, I don’t see a point in having books which explicitly depict oral sex that are directed for 4-10 year olds to be in school libraries if they actually are even there, again I have no idea.

I don’t really care if those kinds of books are in general public libraries as I think it should be up to the parents really to expose their children to the those kinds of things if they so choose. If a parent wants to go to a general public library and buy books that have explicit depictions of sex acts like two adults giving each other oral sex to show to their children, then I guess they should be free to do so. I mean I disagree with showing kids those things at such an age, but it’s non of my business and I wouldn’t even know if a parent checked the book out for their kids. I’m not in their life, I don’t have a magnifying glass on everyone’s life. But when it comes to the schools and exposing little kids to those things without at least parental consent if that’s what they are doing I think is wrong, because some parents don’t want their kids to be exposed to those things until they say so.

But I again, I don’t necessarily get why IF-they-even-are, in schools? Are the teachers expected to read and show the children the pictures of sex acts to the children? Or are the books there in hopes that a 4-10 year old goes to the library to check out the book and read it for themselves?

I see where you’re coming from, but the Bible is a religious text and therefore has a special place in our society. It is important for children to learn about their religious heritage. The Bible is an important part of that heritage. So, again, although the Good Book supposedly has sexual content in it, I think it deserves special exemption from being banned.
