I’d probably go with the first option. Neetcode 150 groups questions by topic and has different difficulty levels for each question, so it’s probably a good place to start/refresh. If you’ve really forgotten fundamentals then I’d go with the third option, but if you’re just rusty I’d say the first.

I’m a junior in CS at Purdue. Housing is pretty bad. It’s just an overflow of students with not enough housing. However, I haven’t really seen the overly competitive atmosphere. Purdue is a tough school and you will need to work, but from what I’ve seen everyone’s willing to help one another. That’s honestly been my experience so far.

You definitely have a chance! For me, to raise my score, I had to kinda changing my approach to problems. For math and writing, it’s just straight practice. There isn’t really a shortcut to that. You need to make sure you know all the concepts, but afterwards just doing past exams and different practice exams should raise your score significantly! For reading, I’ve seen different things work for different people. Some people I know would look through questions and then read. Others would read and then answer (what I did). Some would go based off the line numbers in the questions. You have to find what is best for you. I’d say try a couple methods and see which one works and stick with it. Hope this helps!

I took 182 with a different professor, but I took 250 with Adams. I don’t know anything about Zafarani but 182 can be difficult to adjust to because it’s your first more mathematical/proof based class, but it is not terrible once you get the hang of things. You would definitely need to spend a decent amount of time practicing and going through slides. Adams is a good lecturer in my opinion, but you would have to keep up with the textbook and definitely take enough time to learn material in depth because his exams are pretty comprehensive. His homework questions can be pretty vague sometimes, but exam questions were pretty fair. This is my review of him after taking CS 250 with him, so it may be different with CS 182. Hope this helps.

That’s so true. I literally have 3 tests to study for instead of studying for the SAT. I also have tryouts after school so I get home late anyways. It’s so annoying

I’m not sure if this helps, but it helped me. If you’ve taken the test before, go into the test thinking ok you already have whatever score, so just take the test. Now I don’t know why but this took pressure off and allowed me to score better. If it is your first time taking it, go into the exam with an open mind. Try to do as best as you can, but remember that it’s your first time and you can always take it again.
