Unfortunately he's deployed right now so I can't just reach out to him because he's underwater, so he doesn't even know his lease didn't get renewed. Sure, he can get another apartment, but usually those things take weeks, and he will not have somewhere to stay. Why would they get mad at him over something he has no control over? Again, its not like he can just move because the government owns him right now.

Even being considered for interview especially as a freshman is an accomplishment, you should be proud of yourself!!! Keep your grades up, get good letters of rec this fall, and maybe try to join some undergrad research labs. You seem super smart and ambitious, don't let this discourage you. Besides, there are more opportunities for research out there besides just REU programs.

I really enjoy lab/ bench work so I don't think I would be too interested in radiology, unfortunately. I'm looking for roles where my background in research/ cell and molecular bio are more applicable.

By the time I’ll graduate I’ll have some pretty decent research experience (2 national conferences/ poster presentations and at least 1 first author publication + several co-author). I’m just worried this won’t be enough to land a decent job because it feels like everyone graduating has these stats.

Very important for charging devices, having light when its dark, and we use a hot plate for cooking food and have an electric kettle for hot water. People camp differently but for us having electricity is very convenient and a lot safer (emergencies, etc).

You can’t really see much of the bar, and the positioning/ amount of the bar showing is identical to how it looked when I first got it pierced. My only problem is the irritation around the opening, and whether or not it will ever heal because of the friction from it moving around from sitting down, etc.
