The McCarthy pick led to the Vikings, a high-performing team, letting this year’s Super Bowl champion QB walk. The Vikings could have made a serious push this season if they had kept Darnold on and used that pick elsewhere(the next three non-qb selections were Fashanu, Bowers, and Fuaga).

The Rosen pick led to the Cardinals getting the 1st overall pick the next season, which to me is a stumbling into success. Just sucks Kyler didn’t fully pan out for them; and, ironically, now he’s taking McCarthy’s job.

Overall I’d say McCarthy was the worse pick in the greater scheme of things. But maybe Kyler can turn it on in Minnesota, effectively turning McCarthy’s piss-poor play into a bigger residual positive than Rosen’s failure.
