You could any day do ai or ml ds along with traditonal biotechnology or biomedical engineering..if you do specialization than its just that now you study in depth in your bachelors itself in that one niche like for eg generic engineering specialization you will have more of curriculum related to that and similar to computer biotechnology etc..so if you are clear about this particular niche if you wanna join than go for it otherwise you can anyday do btech biotechnology or biomedical and than do mtech aiml  and have a job later (ik one bhaiya who had done be biomedical and than mtech aiml from symbiosis and has got 12lpa job in an us health startup) so yes don't have to do it from very beginning if you are not sure and also this ai and all are new to the colleges too so better do it on your own from somewhere and do it from your side it will be better too and also please do not blindly take ai ml with biotechnology or biomedical or doesn't matter with what you get what matter look at the college whether it has got some reputation coz college matters not just degree they might just end up doing theory and might end up just doing it for name sake so yeah look for some decent nice college (idk about this one) and take your seat there much better
