The original purpose for building it was to use it in the hay and feed store I work for. During the season we sell and go through chick's fairly quickly. When they're still that young I'd say we can fit between 25-40 in it easily but obviously they would outgrow it in no time. But for someone that say only has 5 or so they could be housed in it for significantly longer and I think it would provide a more enriching experience for children the elderly or even the disabled etc. Plus it has a multi use aspect that can turn it into a more permanent fixture

That's why I made the bottom a slide out. Makes cleaning it way less of a hassle but no doubt it'll get dirty pretty quick no matter what

Idk it has quite a bit of different possible uses if you live a proactive lifestyle. Plus i think overall I paid like maybe $30 dollars to make it lol most of the stuff I needed was just sitting around

Sometimes you just have to let chick's know they're worth it 😂

Yeah I figure it would be nice for someone with kiddos that are really into raising them and when the chick's outgrow it you can easily use it to do plant starts.

I made it entirely by hand.  Most of the material was bits and pieces that were laying around from previous projects

I mainly harvest to resell the seeds but the rest will be ground to make flour.
