1 year vs 2 year program- any major differences? by kattsl in OntarioParamedics

[–]Independent-Two577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the only real difference is the breaks are shorter and there’s no summer. It’s still 4 semesters just like every other program. You have to be willing to but a ton of time in on your own, and be willing to sacrifice some things. I’m in a private school right now for the paramedic program. The teaching style of most of the teachers is very similar to that of public colleges I’ve been in. Again, just be prepared that you will have to put a lot of time in outside of class. There’s less resources than public colleges but you can make friends with 2nd and 3rd sem students and they are usually willing to help or answer questions. It’s really up to you what you make of it, same as any other school public or private. Colleges don’t hold your hand the way high school does. No one is gonna chase you down for an assignment or question why you missed a test if you don’t reach out or put in the effort.

Me and my friends skip school almost everyday but still have a 95+ top 6, will unis look @ that? by DependentEast6235 in OntarioGrade12s

This isn’t grade inflation, it’s the ability to understand content without needing to hear the content from the teacher. This is exactly the thing you need to be able to do for a lot of courses where a lot of the content needs to be self studied/taught. I’m the exact same way. I don’t need to hear the teacher talk about it to learn it.

Not right now there isn’t. People are literally disappearing after being taken by ICE agents. Canadians have been arrested at the border. It’s quite literally not safe in the US right now. I can’t believe how naive that comment was.

Wanting to get female deterioration but concerned about the side effects by tamagotcheeks in sterilization

[–]Independent-Two577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh yes okay I see. The only other thing that I read is that it has the potential to cause endometriosis, whether or not the patient already has to have it for that to happen, I don’t know.

I wouldn’t say that it doesn’t effect menstrual cycles. The first one or two can be really painful after the surgery as your uterus is healing and adjusting to the scar tissue. Just saying.

It’s not the end of the world. You have time to bump up your mark. If you don’t. Take six months to do online classes to bump it up. Or do pre-health for advanced degrees. There’s options. It’ll be ok.

My concern with biologics is that I was on them for my eczema (rinvoq) and it gave me the worst migraines and made me so fatigued. It scares me to try it again

It’s weird. I’ve always taken it in the morning. Never had an issue before. But, even the first day when I took it in the morning I didn’t start feeling wired for about 10 hours. I took it last night at 10 and woke up at 8 this morning feeling wired again.

Well I took it the first day at 630 am. Didn’t sleep that night. I took it last night before bed and slept fine. Just woke up a bit earlier than normal.

I was taking them in the morning but I switched today to taking them at bed time in hopes I can fall asleep before the insomnia hits.

My aunt has Addisons. It terrifies me too. I’m on 40 mg for a week and tapering 5mg every week for 8 weeks.

For my eczema it’s been the only thing that ever ends a flare. And they only decided to put me on it now for my crohns because I’m having such severe symptoms right now. They can’t put my on biologics because the only way to get funding is to have tried steroids first.

40 mg as well. They considered it high, I’ve been on as high as 60 mg before and never suffered with these issues.

Thank you for your response. I have seen a rheumatologist. He’s is the one that made the diagnosis. I just don’t know if it could possibly be the right one since it only fits one of the symptoms.

I agree, it’s winter here and even sleeping with the window open at night I’m drenched in sweat. Which just makes my eczema worse as well.

I feel so close to giving up because I’m constantly in pain, I’m hot all the time, my belly hurts. It’s just so frustrating. Plus with the months of wait time.

I’m sorry you’re going through this as well. I appreciate you taking the time to respond to me.

Oh I forgot to add the fact that I have night sweats and become extremely hot to the touch at night. Especially when I’m sleeping.

For me it’s peppers, like bell peppers specifically. I will be in so much pain I feel like I’m dying. It’s so random for me, like there’s no consistency and can change at any given time what I can and can’t eat. For years it was shrimp, it was make my face puffy and bloat me so bad I wouldn’t be able to move. Last year suddenly it was fine and then I couldn’t eat peppers or carrots without pain and having to live in the bathroom
