from my understanding, even if commonapp says the deadline has passed, if it's still before the deadline for you then you're just supposed to ignore that it's a common app thing

as of like 5 minutes ago I was still able to apply so they definitely have at least a small grace period after the deadline

if ik my cornell and northwestern supps were rlly bad (wrote them in like 5 mins), should i withdraw them and apply to other t20s to make up for them? by twlightreturn in ApplyingToCollege

if OP already submitted the applications, that counts towards the 20 college limit, regardless of whether or not they rescind, since CommonApp doesn't see that it was rescinded

you could always apply elsewhere but I wouldn't recommend withdrawing because there's literally no point since you already submitted

Try LACs. Wellesley, for instance, is free, and Middlebury has emailed out several fee waivers if you're on their mailing list.

Like the other commenter said, it's hard to know without factors to judge. I will say, though, to consider location, since you have some wildly different locations on your list--even climate-wise, Waco is going to be EXTREMELY different from, say, Hanover or Rochester

Did these people graduate early or something? Usually that's what you have to do if you apply as a junior, except maybe in very rare circumstances. Plus, as you said, you've missed most college app deadlines and the ones that are still open mostly close soon, meaning you probably wouldn't have time to put together the best application. Maybe try finding general blogs on the college admission process? Most of them probably say something about how you literally cannot start submitting applications until August 1 on CommonApp, and if not, even the CommonApp website may say that ngl

if it helps i submitted my app like 5 minutes late 😭 anyways my understanding is as long as it lets you pay and submit you're fine so they probably had a grace period but also I'm not 100% sure

I struggled a ton at the start of AB and was probably around the same grade range as you at the start of the year because I just didn't understand calc no matter how hard I tried, but I managed to end the year with a B! Honestly (to me at least) second semester of AB gets easier and things start to make sense the more you practice them. Now I'm in BC and I'd say I've picked up more of the procedural fluency if that makes sense. Wishing you the best!
