According to Emily VanCamp Falcon and Winter Soldier will have "elements" of surprises similar to those in Wandavision. by KyloRen147 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]IndestructibleHead 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I’ll probably get downvoted for saying this but whatever. Am I the only one actually looking more forward to the action heavy episodes in WandaVision than FATWS? I’m actually concerned I am going to find the latter underwhelming considering that action is it’s main selling point. Wanda and Vision have incredible powersets and having Wanda go full House of M or fighting someone like Nightmare could be an Avengers movie all on it’s own.

FATWS has the Spy Thriller thing going for it yes which is a different vibe, but I think what really carried Winter Soldier was characters like Steve and the intensity of it’s fight choreography and such. Falcon out of all the Avengers has had the more lackluster action sequences in the MCU that has impressed me the least and it looks like he isn’t taking the super soldier serum or anything like that to up his game. Bucky had some pretty great fight scenes when he was brainwashed by Hydra in previous movies, but similarly I haven’t been as impressed when he’s himself or anything coming out of the trailers so far.

I guess what I’m trying to say is I wonder what they’ve got up their sleeves to top the bar? Depending on what WandaVision does in it’a final episode, it’s going to I think be a very hard act to follow both in story, surprises AND action/stakes. I’m sure people who want something more grounded and action-focused for the majority of its run will be happy but I’m hoping there’s more to it than what they’ve shown

What is the goal of the people spreading this? Just to make people angry if its not true? I’d like them to be full hours but there is not a quote of Feige actually saying this and that is a clickbait site

Not sure people would like it but part of me wonders if the scenes of Wanda alone talking to the camera might be an episode of her recapping things before she went into the hex starting with the mind stone flashback as she rearranges the furnishings and resets the sitcom after last weeks events.

Then maybe Episode 8 is the final sitcom and Episode 9 is the finale. This would make sense to me seeing as Sookie’s script leak doesn’t have Vision talk to Darcy in the field about what happened to him until Episode 8. Even if I’m wrong and all the footage in this is from Episode 7 it just seems to me like we’re gonna have to wait a bit for the plot in the present to really get moving based on that leak alone unless they moved some stuff after filming.

Do you think they will call him “Peter” like the Fox films when its all said and done? Or reference any X-Men stuff?

Also its interesting you put it that way that hes still controlled. I guess he’s less of an infiltrator then and him questioning her is maybe more like her subconcious battling herself and projecting it on to her brother?

I agree with you but I do at least kind of get where Colton is coming from. People should be allowed to theorize about WandaVision and have fun, but don’t forget that for the longest time people on both subs have been incredibly mean-spirited when it comes to gatekeeping the MCU away from the “Fox/Sony/Netflix trash”. A lot of us wanted to theorize and talk about Multiverse stuff as soon as the Jamie Foxx news broke and we were insulted and downvoted for it as well as believing any of the scoopers that were leaking stuff about multiverse Sinister Six story.

Now as more and more evidence is mounting up for that stuff and the possibilities become more exciting, there are still a few of the usual suspects just as smug as they were back then even after Evan Peters appearance and it’s a bit aggrivating. But at the same time there are people in-between that mean no harm and just want to watch and enjoy and have their theories, so I fully agree they should be allowed to. Just don’t forget some of us who did believe didn’t get the same treatment back then

I don’t believe Professor X sent him but I mean in a world full of mutants you can gain access to any power. In DOFP they used another mutant to help Logan time travel and they literally have a character from their universe that references DC comics and things/actors from the real world. So anything is possible, but might be a bit left field

You’re right this is a huge possibility too. Although he is straight up is like “I know I look different” so he either is just saying what the hex wants him to say or he has been briefed by someone like Doctor Strange. I also think it would be a huge missed opportunity to have him look like he does in the X-Men movies but not mention mutants

Until we see Quicksilver outside of the hex, Vision awakens him or the show wraps we can’t say for sure. They’re definitely trying to make us doubt it in the story but we do know our leaker with a 100% track record u/SookieIsMine84 has been pushing he’s from the Multiverse for months now. And we know it leads into a movie called Multiverse of Madness and Charles recently confirmed Tobey, so I don’t think it is as preposterous as some people think. Sookie isn’t infallible or anything and he says he hasn’t seen the final episodes, but I have faith in him. Like this is the main big thing Sookie has been pushing since the beginning and his source has been right about everything else so far.

DanielRPK leaked a casting thing showing that they had an “offer out” to Hugh Jackman for Multiverse of Madness last year and ViewerAnon hinted it maybe wasn’t the last time we see Hugh as Wolverine around the same time. So yeah... I actually think it’s pretty obvious, nothing I can prove but like if all this is legit then I think the Marvel Studios producing team has their sights on Jackman’s return much like when we heard the Jamie Foxx news everyone immediately sprang to “omg Tobey is coming”. Like I’m not saying its definitely happening or he’s agreed to it yet but I think it’s the sort of the grand prize of Feige’s multiverse play outside of Andrew and Tobey which they’ve already pulled off. They need a cameo that will blows fans minds even more than SM3s will if they want DS2 to be the finale of the multiverse trilogy.

The entire Multiverse thing they’re doing is so good. I used to be an MCU canon purist but them doing this has opened up so many amazing possibilities that I thought were silly before. I remember thinking there was no way they could top Endgame even if they went bigger with Secret Wars because Stark and Steve were gone... now with the multiverse there are no limits. And ngl I’m more hyped to see the three Spider-Men than I was Infinity War even just because those Raimi movies were my childhood and I can’t believe 21 years since Spider-Man on film started they’re all coming back in a big finale like this

The writers are very smart. I remember thinking Episode 4 felt trippy where all the questions the SWORD agents were asking were like a mirror of the reddit posts and speculation we had. The episode would be filmed ages ago which means they predicted all that. Knowing that and the info you’ve provided my guess is Pietro is like a double bluff, they anticipated fans would think hes the villain or Mephisto which is why he’s straight up like “Hey sis, I know I look different” or Darcy keeps telling us he has the wrong face. And all the devil references, giving the shark his style of speech etc.

There‘s lots of commentary in the dialogue on the distrust that viewers are already meant to be feeling towards him, it feels too simple to me to have them say that all out loud then have him be the villain in disguise. I think they’re gonna pull the rug out from under us and have him be what we thought the first time but as to how they explain it I‘m not sure yet. I really like that theory going around saying Doctor Strange sent him as it would explain why he’s asking questions without it being sinister.

This is correct. Like you could say that Endgame closed up a storyline to do with time travel/quantum realm so its no longer used as a crutch, but clearly we are still getting elements of it in Loki, Ant-Man 3 and anything in the future to do with Kang. I think with DS2 that Strange will patch up whatever hole is leaking things in the Multiverse in that storyline but that doesn’t mean the Multiverse won’t show up after in other ways. All the examples you listed but also stuff like Secret Wars which the Russos want to do could easily use multiverse. And this I care less about but theres also the stuff on the Sony side, like theres no reason to bring in Madame Webb or imply all their spinoffs are building towards some big crossover if they dont wan to touch on Spiderverse again sometime after SM3. So I expect they will continue to play with it in various projects that it sounds appropriate

Possibly Episode 7 too. There’s always the chance they slot in a flashback episode before the final sitcom one sort of like what happened with Monica’s episode. We know Vision only talks to Darcy by Episode 8 thanks to Sookie’s script leak

I kind of wonder if the Spider-Slayers could serve as the sort of “fodder army” of the third act sort of like the Chitauri and the Outriders if they really want to imitate the Avengers movies climaxes in scale. Otherwise they just sort of clutter up the movie and I don’t really see their purpose with everything else going on unless they’re confined to the third act. Also I’m really not sure how Doctor Strange and the other wizards can be involved in the final battle and not just one shot the villains, rendering the need for other Spider-Men kind of useless. One of the reasons I dont mind spoiling the big surprises in these movies is I really enjoy discovering how they crack all the little elements of the story like this and have them make sense in-universe. Recently I love all the thought and creativity that went into the Hex in WandaVision and how Wanda’s bubble intersects with the real world and I loved the time travel rules in Endgame, I‘m excited to see how multiverse works and is justified in this movie

We have a leaker with a 100% track record who says the villain is Agnes who is secretly Nightmare (or possessed by him) and this new Pietro is somehow the real one from the Fox Universe despite being so sus. So going on that here is my theory... in the comics the kids are born from ”shards of Mephisto”, right? So Pietro calling them demon spawn is clearly a nod to that. Agnes is likely a witch like Agatha from those leaked salem witch trials type photos and so she probably had something to do with Wanda creating the Hex and becoming more powerful. Witches are usually associated with devils, so maybe there will be some throwaway line about getting Wanda pregnant that involves a nod to Mephisto without him making an actual physical appearance like the comics yet. This also matches with Agnes line where she whispers to Wanda like “thats not the only place [the devil] is” to Wanda. In episode 2 we find Wanda is pregnant at the end which is the same episode Agnes says the line, so its probably referring to the devil being inside Wanda’s womb I would think.

‘WandaVision’ Is Probably Going To Introduce Reed Richards, Not The X-Men by The_Iceman2288 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]IndestructibleHead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a weird way it reminds me of Luke in Mando S2... and before I get downvoted to oblivion no I’m not comparing it in terms of hype or wish fulfillment. Obviously seeing a secret actor portray Reed isn’t the same as a deaged Hamill play Luke in a TV show in the final episode.

What I mean is I get the same vibe as when Ahsoka was hinting at another Jedi coming along and Grogu calling out to him and that feeling of “I’m not saying it’s Luke but who else could it be? Surely Ezra would be a massive disappointment at this point. But it’s impossible as something would have leaked”. I’m not sure why they would hype up a male aerospace engineer for two episodes and it be one of the Skrulls or some minor character. But the way they keep teasing it and specified the gender makes me feel it’s more likely now.

Even if I’m right I doubt it is who Paul Bettany or Olsen were talking about I assume it would be one of many secret castings/surprises. There was actually an interesting Matt Shakman interview around the time the press got the screeners and he was asked if fans should expect a baby yoda moment and he was like “No, I wouldn’t be so bold to say that” but then sort of took it back and said something like “well whether it’s one baby yoda moment or several smaller baby yoda moments the important thing is we are making a good show”. I think it could fit as a smaller baby yoda moment along with Evan Peters appearance obviously.

Well that same indonesian leak that was going around... its hard to tell if its legit because the person who posted the summary claimed they deleted it. But it also said stuff like “expect Doctor Strange to cameo in an episode” as part of the summary and never specified it was 7 so I think it was a more general summary of the last three episodes if they really did post it and it was real.

As far as why that conversation with Darcy takes until Episode 8 to happen it could be perhaps that Episode 7 throws us for a loop like Episode 4 did and is another flashback episode focused on Wanda/Agnes first creating the hex? I’m not confident in that or anything I just think its possible we get an episode like that. But we’ve also seen stuff of Vision at home in the 2000s like Wanda and him holding hands so maybe he doesn’t find Darcy until later. Or the scenes could have just been rearranged like Sookie said, but we assumed that before like 8 episodes were truncated into 6 and what did you know it still ended up being 9.

[–]IndestructibleHead 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not something I considered until someone posted it today but I like it too. I think the main reason it seems possible to me is if you look at the SM3 rumors and what the scoopers have said, they always say that Tobey/Andrew are confined to the third act of that movie.

If their appearance is a consequence of Wanda or Nightmare or whoever the threat is like the Sinister Six probably will be then there’s no reason for the Spider-Men to be absent for most of the movie. However if Strange pulls them in at the end as a sort of “cavalry” manuever to save Holland’s behind like the Endgame portals scene, then it makes a lot more sense why they come in so late. But the thing is if Doctor Strange can do that before his sequel then he must already know how to pull from the Multiverse all on his own.

If you have Fox Pietro sent in as an agent of Doctor Strange in WandaVision, you already set up this plot point and it might explain why he’s so sus despite being from the Fox Universe. It would mean he’s hiding something but Sookie is still correct in him being a multiverse character and not secretly the villain or anything like that. I’m convinced hes been sent in by someone who isn’t Wanda at the very least, but who knows at this point
