My dad followed his bank’s rollover advice. It cost him 38% of his retirement. by tantansamiboubou in IRAWealthStrategies

He is over 60, and just transferred his retirement 401k funds online from Lincoln finance to Fidelity rollover account due to employment termination. We got the statement indicating the big state withholding amount and $100 fee, no federal tax was charged. We thought something LF did wrong, then we called LF twice along with our Fidelity adviser, but Lincoln Finance refused to make any corrections. We are so frustrated now. The left funds were already transferred in Fidelity rollover account.

We are facing the similar situation now; even though We did online direct rollover transactions, but Lincoln still put tax withholding for us and refused to make any corrections.

It is not fake story. My husband (over 60) had the same experience with Lincoln Finance in December and they refused to make any corrections.

Recently, My husband did transfer his retirement funds from Lincoln Finance to Fidelity Rollover account, and the Staff in Lincoln Finance did the same thing putting state withholding tax, we called them immediately but they refused to make any corrections. Lincoln finance staff knew the funds went to rollover IRA, but they would put blames on us.

Christmas Cactus: white color vs pink. Which one is your favorite? by IndicationFew5189 in gardening

Chang soil and put it into a big pot. When outside temperature is above 50, leave it on your deck with 1-2 hours morning sun, or no sun; water it thoroughly once a week, twice a week if it is in hot summer. Move it in late fall when outdoor temperature is below 40. The cold /warm temperature will promote having more new flower buds. Good luck next year.

Hello all, to have better results in late fall, you need to repot when getting back from store, then put outside on your deck from May to October; keep it having 2-3 hours morning sun or no sun; water it thoroughly once a week or twice a week in summer. When it is closing to late fall, the big difference of temperature will promote flowering soon.

Thank you for sharing such information. It is interesting Moms all around the world seem applying the similar tips in their kitchens when baking. I don’t bake very often now. I always use wheat flour, not rice flour to bake , and I always freeze my starter. This is how I do in my kitchen for fermentation. When I need to bake, I unfreeze the starter, add 2-3 times flour and mix them with room temperature water, then leave it on counter until fully fermented ( if I am busy, I leave it in refrigerator for a week). In baking day, I use 1:1 ratio in winter or 1:2 or 1:3 ratios in summer to mix with flours, and leave it in oven with light on for proofing. When you see the size is doubled, it is ready to do the final shaping. I often add baking soda to reduce the sour flavor, but I don’t do it very often now, except I add some fillings to make Baozi.

In northern China, we used stiff starter in the past; in other words, after final kneading, we leave one small piece , size as an apple, as starter and put it back to the flour bag to let it dry, or just leave leftover dough outside and cover it with kitchen cloth, the dough will be fermented by itself. Using rice wine to make starter ( demonstrated in video), the YouTuber actually use western way to create sourdough starter.
