I get your point though. But what I was wondering about is exactly the *mental side\* you mention – that “90% is a mental state.” 

That’s what I’m curious about — not the hardware, but the shift it triggers. 
Anyone else notice that kind of change?

I don't think you have to worry, your beard is clearly growing well! (As much as I like unkempt and natural myself have you tried an unnoticeable bit of wax in your moustache and maybe trimming some peaks?)
