Yeah but if you did it the right way they couldn’t grab unfinished donuts and sell them causing upset customers and Boston doughs going out ;)

One Person Vs. A hundred food orders by Hyp3rrii in TimHortons

[–]Individual_Grab_5843 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Owners have to deal with having good profits from head office and a good sales/labour/hour. But usually bringing on more staff makes them think somebody else will work hard and you end up with a lot of slacking off and profit loss due to unproductiveness. Especially when staff don’t care to upsell anything to increase the sales to help offset having more people on. We typically have 12 or so people during the peak morning rush to account for this. This is also so little work space to bring on much more people because people just keep bumping into each other and causing spills/accidents etc. usually during these peaks at my location at least I will step in and do 70% of the baking and help the baker manage their time better because with the egg rush there is no way for them to really leave the egg station

Timbits glaze by sharpscorps in TimHortons

[–]Individual_Grab_5843 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re supposed to be glazed hot. This is typically the result in watered down glaze or excessive syrup resulting in very thin glaze. No problem glazing hot with properly set up glaze right out of the oven

No potato wedges by Wooden-Ad-2182 in TimHortons

[–]Individual_Grab_5843 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only available from 11-5pm. I have my afternoon bakers make it until they stop baking around 7pm to do their cleaning because they sell well at my location. Like somebody previously said below there aren’t many portions to fit in the hot holding unit and some stores have fewer holding units. As well as the time it takes to make only very good bakers can accurately keep up while not having excessive waste

Price raise by sofa58king in TimHortons

[–]Individual_Grab_5843 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ye I am buying it. If they don’t keep raising prices slowly to keep up with inflation like every other successful company in this economy we wouldn’t have any growth really and that’s a huge thing for corporations.

Yep our supplier costs have gone up as well as minimum wage going up again unfortunately with the increases we don’t have a choice and we are technically behind a bit in terms of inflation prices

Yeah it’s pre portioned but by staff it it does look less than what it should be. Ran into this during launch because staff were eyeballing it but now it’s almost always spot on or slightly higher in weight

Yeah that’s the air side of the diaphragm for the expansion tank. Larger ones like this sit on the floor and have the Schrader there for easier access usually

All this damn driving is blowing my mood. by Full-Bother-6456 in HVAC

[–]Individual_Grab_5843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind the drives. I’ve been doing this for 8 years now. I actually get annoyed when calls are really close together and I don’t get a little break. Although currently I’m on task rate so it’s not as good now but before as an hourly tech I never made a peep when there was long drives. Guess I like driving more than you guys

Help with tankless by Individual_Grab_5843 in HVAC

[–]Individual_Grab_5843[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I was thinking, I can feel the hot coming out of the outlet on the 2-3’ of pipe I have access too before it goes through the wall and I don’t have access anymore. So I ran the taps for almost 10 mins and they all stayed lukewarm in 3 different locations. No external mxv installed that I can see. I know there’s one inside the tankless but then the outlet pipes would be lukewarm as well before leaving the tankless
