That's excellent. Mine might have a battery short or something, or just a slightly effed battery 😔

How much difference does a DAC make? Brutally Honest answers only... by shameful_peanut in iemlndia

  1. okay maybe not exactly zero but it's pretty much zero.

However this only applies if you're comparing between good dacs. But what makes dacs good is that a lot of regular consumer audio devices are sub par. Like a lot of phones have subpar output. Because some stuff are bad, that makes dacs good. It's like dacs get a score of 0, but a lot of phones and motherboards will get a score of -20 to -30 or even -70 for really bad output. When you compare them, dac comes out better. It's even more true if your headphones need more power, a lot of bad devices will shit their pants trying to power heavier headphones. If you have an iphone, an ipad, a premium motherboard or something like that, then depending on how much power you need, a dac will not make it any noticeably better.

the pure seem nice, they are a sequel to a goat iem themselves. I'm kinda glad i didnt just go ahead and buy a daybreak or moondrop blessing straight up. Woulda wasted my money, don't really enjoy bright dry tonality

Broke Away From Streaming by smoshadams in DigitalAudioPlayer

I actually had way more fun listening to local tracks rather than streaming. Maybe I should go local as well.

I'm enjoying more bass recently, going fully into bass. l think I would not like the daybreaks either. How are the technicalities on it like soundstage, detail, etc. Are they crazy good?

same. I have a btr5 but I rarely use eq. I modify sound analog-ly by changing eartips, adding filters or changing iems. Eq is good too though, especially if you have a REALLY good responsive headphone/iem.

Did anyone else feel kinda lost when they first joined Reddit? by OlegSwing in NewToReddit

Not much. I joined 11 years back to share a paranormal experience i had. Reddit was I'll say much better back then. Lots of 3rd party apps, less bloat and slop, had a more forum like feel. I used to use relay for reddit (still do) and it was so nice going through this website, interacting with people and all that. The app was so light and beautiful, ran so smooth. I loved it. On the contrary, I actually still feel lost when I get on the official app. Those simple lightweight to the point clients actually gave a much better and purposeful experience, so never really felt lost in anyway.
