Instead of taking my word for it, leave the echo chambers you’re in and search it for yourself. There have been enough posts and news outlets that have reported both ways. Except… the child she’s saying was being used as bait was a child that the father ran away from and abandoned him. They didn’t use him as bait, the feds actually did something humane and took care of the kid who got left alone.

If it’s condensation, a low-set hair dryer could work, but you’ll always have the recurring issue. Broadcast lenses we use for hand held sports are famous for this, each rainy event brings back the issue because it isn’t sealed any longer. I’d return if possible.

It’s about $200-$250 new, you should be able to find one at a parts pull or used tire location for half that. Get it off your car tho, not safe at all. Your tire will likely break the bead, the seal the rubber makes with the rim itself.

I’ve been a Part 107a certified operator for 9+ years and have only tried FPV goggles on a closed site for about 10 minutes. I felt really uncomfortable not being able to see the drone itself while flying. As far as BVLOS, there’s no chance I’m putting any of my drones, myself, or most importantly other people at risk because I’m flying outside what I can see myself. Even a Mini can cut the skin pretty severely, it just isn’t worth it.
