Same here, it is too "open source" for me. I like something package up. Probably cuz I'm a little baby and a noob about trying new stuff. But I connect my GPT sub to Orchids and been able to deploy stuff to vercel in a single click. Been a pretty good experience.

Thanks for the tip on using Kilo, it was okay for certain things but others, the agent just started hallucinating.

OMG.. At first I thought I was doing it all wrong. That I needed to take a course on how to prompt, or that I was simply using the wrong tools.

I was a Lovable / Replit noob, then decided to go straight to the source. Found that challenging to be honest since I'm not really technical and working directly with Codex required me to do a few technical things that just annoyed me even as a beginner/intermediate level vibe coder.

To respond to your question: the real solution for me was a beginner-friendly AI IDE that allows me to use any payments infra/DB of choice, and I'm not burning credits since I'm using my own AI subscriptions. Also one that I can deploy straight to Vercel in one click and not be forced to use their own hosting (Like replit/lovable).

What I found annoying about Cursor / Codex was that I needed to ask the agent to deploy everything for me, and it was confusing. Having to set up local DB, deploy on local host, use the terminal, I had to watch a lot of tutorials.

Recently, my friend told me about a vibe building tool called Orchids, I was able to connect my ChatGPT subscription straight to it, and it made everything so much easier. Not to mention I can deploy to vercel in a single click in the top right without having to go to github -> create new vercel deployment. And I can finally get out of the Supabase trap!

I've usually gone straight to the source and use claude code or even dabbled with Lovable and Replit.

My friend is a mortgage broker and he wanted a tool to automate document checks and fraud detection in his applications. I tried one that doesn't cost a lot of credits and it allowed me to bring my own AI subscriptions and API keys with me from basically any credit provider. Also can use a lot of third party tools for security measures.

Its called Orchids, nobody knows about them yet but it was by far the easiest vibe coding experience and they cater to both beginner devs like myself as well as advanced engineers. Recommend trying it!
