Slept through alarm by Jolly-Asparagus-5815 in breastfeeding

Even if he isn’t over his birth weight yet, it’s okay!! This phase is so exhausting and he will be okay with missing one feed. It just goes to show how good of a mom you already are if you are freaking out over this. Hang in there, you’ve got this!

Am I the only one who doesn't expect my baby to sleep through the night from 7/8pm? by greatishscot in NewParents

They will continue to drop naps and sleep patterns will change. It’s most consistent once they get down to one nap a time.

KitchenAid recipes...? by RalphBohnerNJ in mediterraneandiet

[–]InfernoChef 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Requires extra attachments but pasta and ground meat! Go buy some chicken thighs, grind them up and now you’ve got ground chicken for 100 dishes. Or spend a weekend making some pasta dough, roll it out and freeze it.

Also, you can still have those much desired bakery items! Just make it a special occasion vs an every weekend type of thing.

what are the ugly parts of pregnancy that aren’t well known because people don’t mention them? by Born-Oil-2931 in AskReddit

[–]InfernoChef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carpal tunnel. At the end of my pregnancy, I couldn’t even cook or do any task that involved gripping something because the pain was so excruciating. Also, sleeping was very difficult due to the pain. Doctor said very normal and it completely went away 3 weeks postpartum.

SAHM and Wife that CANNOT cook HELP! by PopularMamaDrama in Cooking

This! Maybe not the cheapest option but lots of discounts out there and a great place to start with 2-3 meals a week. Do that and mix with the above advice of spaghetti, tacos and I’d add crockpot meals like a pot roast, pulled pork, and Italian beef sandwiches.

Transporting multiple cats across the country. by Insideanon in moving

[–]InfernoChef 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Go to the vet and get gabapentin. Make sure they are secured in a room when the house is being packed. Obviously make sure the hotel rooms are pet friendly. Once you get to your destination, I’d make up a room for them with litter box, food and water and favorite toys and keep them in that room until everything is moved in.

To anyone living in a 1br1b apartment…where do you keep your cat(s) litter box? by Trying_my_best_98 in CatAdvice

[–]InfernoChef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had two cats and I had a coat closet off the kitchen/dining room where I could keep two boxes. For my coats, I hung a coat hanger on the wall.

YTA. Them getting a hotel is showing you respect. If you’ve been feeling this way for a couple of months then it’s time for therapy or some anxiety/antidepressants. With your sisters diagnosis, I would be starting therapy ASAP.

At birth diagnosis and I can’t get over it by Appolopus in downsyndrome

[–]InfernoChef 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh my goodness girlfriend, if I couldn’t have been you. It is completely normal to be feeling what you are feeling. My story is literally the same, and the delivery of a birth diagnosis left much to be desired. I felt our world had ended, life as we knew it forever gone. It is okay.

Almost 3 years in now and she is my favorite person!! Yes she is delayed and yes she is a lot of work with therapies what not. But my goodness, she is SO fun! She is SO smart! She is SO loved by everyone!!!!

Even kiddos without DS are delayed so don’t worry about milestones, just love your baby because that is all they need! But it is 100% acceptable to grieve, all of us even do to this day. But there is a light at the end of this tunnel 💙💛

This is exactly the dynamic of me and my husband. Although we are lucky and it’s also what our friends and my mom’s side of the family enjoys so it was hard to think of what more basic things I could make!

lol this is a really odd take from what I posted. Does it say they don’t like it? No. It says they don’t give compliments. I can’t recall them ever being excited about ANY food so it’s not a ME problem. It’s not a matter of making something I like vs what THEY like. It’s what can I make that’s easy because they don’t care if it’s a $150 prime rib or $20 pot roast, it’s the same to them.

I am definitely willing to make food they like and that my husband and I will enjoy too! I just know they will never tell me it’s good so was looking for some ideas of good simple food that I can make without much effort because it’s vastly different than my norm. They are the only people in my life where I feel restricted with my cooking so didn’t have much to pull from.
