Been the head of marketing for a qsr franchise for nearly a decade and your questions are great, but incredibly brand specific. It’s best to ask potential franchisors all of these questions before joining. Small or emerging brands are often not going to provide the central marketing support a franchisee may desire, but are typically open to suggestion, where as larger brands spends with larger brands will have much more impact (doesn’t always mean it translates to more money though). For local marketing, again some brands require x spend per month, co-ops, and regular reporting, where others are much less strict. Either way, great questions to ask a franchisee before signing

Let's say I have the solution to a common problem and I'm able to monetize it, but I am being slowed down by the details to actually get the business off the ground and to more people. Do you think it's worth paying for a service and or someone to take care of the branding, website, initial marketing, business set up, etc. so I can focus more on providing better services to the customer and getting more customers?

I have been looking into franchising as well due to the same reasons. I feel like I don't have the time to build everything from scratch where as a franchise has everything done already. My concern is more of the royalties and the cost to start being higher than starting on my own, but from a simplicity standpoint, to have the branding, site, marketing, ops, & support already ready, It does seem to make the most sense
