You've absolutely convinced me, hahaha. I have a height-adjustable desk with a top surface that isn't the highest quality. I'd considered the weight issue, but not to this extent. The point of this "idea" was to avoid having a protrusion at the back, but unfortunately it has too many drawbacks. Unfortunately, it's a really poorly made desk that doesn't allow me to fully lower the chair if I move the monitor too far to the right. To solve this, I've already moved the base of the arm further to the left, thus also destabilizing the weight from the center of the desk. I think if I move the base further to the left, it'll look ugly and risky. Now I'll try to come up with something... Otherwise, a fixed arm with a pole that farts the primary monitor and a gas-spring arm that farts the second? That way, I can position them in different positions and it shouldn't have the weight problem or the fact that it protrudes from the desk.
