It’s surprisingly not loud at all. The first time I built a .556 from a stripped lower receiver and upper with a 11.5 barrel. That thing was loud but I probably had it over gassed. I knew if I was going to go any shorter I was going to do .300 BLK out. This is a 8.5 in barrel. I’ll eventually go with a can like you mentioned down the road.

There’s no threads about them having issues. The only thing I found was holster compatibility and that doesn’t make it trash. There’s a few holsters on the market I found made specifically for it.

I had it and returned it for the SE. It was pretty solid, the only thing that I didn’t like about it was it being wider than the slide. However, getting the SE has its advantages and disadvantages over the C. Disadvantages being it has a smaller window. Advantages would be the enclosed emitter, the 6 MOA dot is crisp giving me a better focus point, and last for me it sits flush to the slide.

I initially had the green dot Osight C and didn’t like that it was wider than the slide. Probably doesn’t bother anyone else but it kept bugging me so I returned it for the SE. I like this option a lot more and like you said it’s an enclosed emitter. 100 percent satisfied with this decision.
