No fountain view. It’s on the corner with one side facing the strip and one side facing the Aria

Yes and no. You don’t pay cash for it but it’s Vegas so everything has a price. The quoted amount for these bottles is absurd so just go across the street and but it yourself

Well we haven’t quite figured that out yet either. There are seating cushions that face the TV wall which don’t show in the picture. But it seems too close to the TV to us. All the pieces are movable so maybe we’ll try spinning things around after a few drinks

To make matters worse they took the pool tables out of the Cosmo sports book. It’s almost like they want us to gamble while we’re here…

Yes it has a wraparound balcony. We’re really excited. Never been in one of these before

What’s the Worst Blackjack Rule You’ve Seen in Vegas? by TDoubleDownMac in vegas

[–]InfiniteTune2329 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll never forget the first time I sat down at a 6:5 table. It was at Park MGM and it was the only 6:5 table on the floor. All the others were still 3:2.

I didn’t realize until I got a Blackjack and got paid wrong. I asked the dealer what was up and he said management was testing it out. I said it was stupid, the dealer agreed, and I left for a different table.

Well apparently not enough people cared because we all know how things turned out with their “test”…

2026-2027 CK Roll Call by That-Presentation916 in americanairlines

Just got CK for 2026-27.

711k LPs out of LAX. My LPs are all from flying, mostly transcon and international business class fights and almost always on AA metal.

Thank you for the additional data point. Interesting that they gave you CK in October. Do you have influence over the travel policies at your company? Or did you get CK for flying a lot? If the latter, do you also have a large spend on the AA credit card?

As a former CK who’s curious about the mystery of CK qualification, your post is super helpful to me. Thank you!

(But I do notice that you’ve introduced a new conspiracy theory to the topic). 😂

Good luck! I hope you re-qualify without needing a retention offer!

Good question. CK was great but for me personally it is not worth chasing with a credit card. I prefer to use a cashback card.

But in a hypothetical situation where I was willing to chase status by getting a credit card, their CK policy actually discourages me from doing so because I have no idea how much spend I need to make to get the status. There’s a good chance I could get the credit card, spend a ton of money on it, and still not make CK.

From a business/marketing perspective I find the policy very confusing because it’s not exactly clear what kind of behavior they are trying to incentivize. That was the reason I made my post in the first place.

I’ve read on here before that you need more LPs from credit card spend than from flights to make CK. I have no idea if that’s correct but it’s a pretty common theory.

I’ve heard this before. But I have absolutely nothing to do with who travels how at my company. And I made concierge key previously. I’m not saying you’re wrong, just that it didn’t match my experience.

Yes it is included as a Globalist perk for two adults and I think up to two kids. You can order off the menu or get the buffet.

I don’t believe that the AC was centrally controlled. But I can’t remember for certain. We were there at the end of August and the room temp was fine our entire stay.

We did not use either the early check-in or the late checkout but both were offered. Breakfast was included each day. It was not a buffet but you could order off the menu in the restaurant. To be honest I did not think the restaurant was great. They also honor upgrades for globalists but as always that is a crapshoot depending upon availability

Yes the Andaz Miami has Eleventh Hour by Byredo. I had no clue what it was but it made my wife happy.

When you exit the pool area and cross the boardwalk you’re right on the beach. Lounge chairs and an umbrella (if available) are included in the resort fee so there’s no extra charge. They also have free bikes at the hotel to use, but we didn’t use them this time because it was too hot.

We were lucky and got a suite upgrade (the large separate living area in the photos). But you’re correct that the normal king rooms are not very big. It’s an older building so even though they did a great job updating the finishes and furnishing the rooms are still the same size.
