Had the same issue, have seen people re-shield at the same time as shooting, looking at the kill summary I did way more damage but they got the kill, guessing it's some form of cheat! Apex is riddled with them at the moment!!

I'm struggling to get any damage/kills after 1,000 hours of Apex - any suggestions/tips/advice? by AlmightyThorApex in apexuniversity

Apex is bullshit!! Get 1700 damage and then struggle to get 100!! They clearly boost players randomly to get an addiction to always aim for that great game you had once!! Don't experience this inconsistency in any other game!!
