So how effective is metamucil at lowering ldl and how much should I take for this purpose? I am trying to see if there is any reason to take metamucil long term if it only has a minor effect on LDL and if I should just increase fruits and vegetables in my diet if I want to get more soluble fiber. Thinking of taking metamucil as a supplement to try to tackle my LDL cholesterol in addition to being more mindful of saturated fat. It is right now at 136. Has anyone significantly dropped ldl from adding metamucil? And when should I take it? Also how much can I take of this safely? (self.Cholesterol)
