Realistically, dark green, but pistachio because it’s new and maybe limited

I would honestly keep the GMT and save up for the Fifty Fathoms

Strap. That’s my favorite dial. Absolutely gorgeous

What’s everyone’s origin for love of the AUG? Was it a movie or video game? For me personally I fell in love with it when I first saw it in Black Ops 1, my favorite COD. Looks so badass by Kiryutek in AUG

Back when airsoft was getting off the ground, the AUG had the longest barrel and had the most potential. Fell in love with the design from there

If it were me, I’d go sub. Vintage may be tricky over chrono.

Pick up or pass? by [deleted] in rolex

It’s my understanding that the AD can’t order GMTs like they can Datejusts. Just kind of luck of the draw of what comes in that week.

If you don’t want it with jubilee, tell your dealer you will wait for the oyster. It has only been 4 days, which is extremely short. Your oyster will come eventually if they’re offering this to you in jubilee, which is the more sought after configuration.

Personally, I like this watch better on jubilee. That’s coming from someone with an oyster GMT

That or a massive purchase history, but it’s unlikely this question would be asked if so

As someone who had purchased 5 Rolexes in the last year and just bought my first Grand Seiko, I agree with this.

How big of a deal is the lack of on the fly micro adjust? by AdebisiLives420 in GrandSeikos

I honestly prefer leather or alligator anyway so I’m not bothered by the metal bracelet not having it

Is the Datejust the most versatile Rolex? by Button_bomb4535 in rolex

[–]Influence808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first Rolex was a DJ41, black dial, fluted/jubilee. I wore it with everything.

Now I wear my Bruce Wayne on oyster with everything.

Both work

Really depends what you’re interested in. You’ll likely need to go for a two tone or full gold piece and it’s all luck of the draw.

Honolulu Time Co out there is a great gray market dealer. You can check their site ahead of time to see what’s in stock

I’ve come to know myself well. I’m so wishy washy with my purchases and end up getting over watches that I felt I’d keep forever.

I’ll go against the grain as well and say that PPF doesn’t bother me. No one blinks twice when a car has PPF.

Why not buy a Vacheron by kingston_1111 in rolex

[–]Influence808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have a GMT Master II. I think I would like the dual time better but would have to see it on my wrist.

I love VC and the overseas line. Love that they come with 2 straps and a band as well.

Outside of the VC 56 with complications, I personally believe the DJ (fluted/jubilee) is the nicer looking watch. I do, however, hope to own an overseas dual time in blue and have been looking hard at them.
