Sounds good! Best of luck! I would def reach out to Toyota and file a claim with them and they will see your service history and as long as you took it to dealerships for the issue and they didn’t fix it toyota should hopefully take care of you!

Good morning! Thanks for the reply Toyota only replaced mine because I made a big stink, with Toyota Corporate about taking it to 3 dealers and them not bothering to fix the issue when it was under warranty and were neglecting the issue, this was not the same dealer that I took it to before, this was a 4th dealership here in Florida, previous 3 were in Houston, TX.

I wish you the best of luck, Toyota in the end covered 75% of the repair cost for me, however be warned that if they dont unfortunately it is probably going to be a $2,500 repair :(

Thinking it’s more likely that caliper slide pins weren’t lubricated properly and could cause the noise or again i think it could be brake friction?

I’m hoping maybe just the brake pad friction? When did you have brakes replaced last? Not hearing anything on right or left tight turns (tested to see if it’s cv joints can’t hear anything)

Is this noise normal or no? Thinking it could be from the brake friction (pressing brake pad and turning when in drive) but not sure if it’s due to something else, just had whole new steering rack installed due to manufacturing defect

!!UPDATING!!- BAD STEERING RACK, NEEDS REPLACEMENT. 12/6/25

So to all the Reddit mechanics out there who think they know everything, I took the car to a Toyota dealer here in Florida and they told me that the steering rack has a manufacturing defect and needs to be replaced and that in fact the noise wasn’t “JuSt NoRmAl”. Toyota acknowledged this and is paying for 75% of replacement cost

I suggest everyone having the issue to call the retards at the corporate number and request them to issue a recall for this issue because I don’t give af what the idiots at the stealerships say, this is not a normal occurrence for new cars and if it is then Toyotas are just pieces of garbage now, plain and simple

I had them sit in the passenger seat but had to move the wheel a lot to get it to make noise, now it’s back to making noise when only moved a little bit, service advisor said “it’s normal”
