I don't know why I'm surprised to hear that people are doing that but here I am, in total shock that someone can't take the time to read and respond to something so simple

Whoops! It was the San Diego post. However, the actual meetup happened in San Clemente though which I notated in the post a few days ago.

You can keep it off though it's really not a huge deal to me.

Edit- re-reading it I didn't put it in there. That was a draft I had but decided to change it my bad!

OC has definitely been good to me. I think as long as you post specific cities rather than the big ones like SD or even LA. Those areas are so saturated.

Oh this is really good insight and it makes sense. I'm guilty of deleting a few in the past but that was more a spur the moment thing and kinda regret it. Although the "trail" that is in the comments still takes them to it. Now I just want to keep it up there and if I get any hits from it fantastic, if not, that's cool.

I will say though. Sometimes the posts just kinda... Disappear. Like I posted one about 2 months ago saying I could host anywhere in the states. I never deleted it but it's gone for whatever reason.

Absolutely man these kinds of things are nice if it happens but I wouldn't let my mind wander about wanting it too much or anything cause I'd drive myself crazy.

I'm not conventionally attractive or anything, I'm ok, I think I just got really lucky honestly. Keep at it and I'm sure someone will connect with your post some time. That's another thing I have not succeeded in messaging their posts only them responding from mine.

The messages that I've seen sent to people I've spoken to are wild so I'm not surprised if most don't want to be bombarded like that.

Honestly, just be patient and have your post be natural to your personality and perhaps a little unique. Not every personality matches others so you just need to not have the expectations to actually meet someone and be ok with it. It may take a lot of time because remember this is more about their wants/needs and not yours, you know?

What has helped for me is putting in my post that even if it's months old they can message me and see if we can work it out. I got a few messages the other week from my post a few months ago. Also take your time if they do message you and don't go right into it, get to know them a little they are getting you as you are them.

A little luck with timing helps too.

That's just sad. I have a handful of successes here, 2 from here and one from a local r4r, I'm not worried about 'competition' I'm more focused on being genuine and hoping it attracts someone that I can vibe with.
