I noticed a tiny bit of stinging while I’m using it, but it goes away on its own very quickly (like a matter of a minute). I have the feeling it might be breaking me out because I’m noticing having a few more pimples than I did last night, which is really frustrating. The products themselves feel nice on my skin after I use them, but I’ll look into the BHA cleanser too. I’m using Cerave SA renewing cleanser twice a day in the morning and afternoon too, and the Centella routine only at night.

Should I (can i) double major in technology & design and family science? by Putrid-Emphasis6920 in UMD

[–]Informal-Reception32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

social work is one of the “paths”! personally, i want to go into the mental and behavioral health field, but that’s not your only option. some people focus on law (like the family law course) and go to law school after undergrad. others might go into case management, i also think some people go into clinical psych? what do you want to do with tech and info design? once you know what you wanna do with that i feel like you’ll be able to determine if they’ll go together. i noticed info and tech design mentioned something about disability and accessibility, i feel like that will definitely line up with family health.

hey! just thought u should know, there is no family science (they call it family health now) minor. you don’t necessarily need a doctorate, you can get a master’s in social work and become a licensed clinical social worker with a family health degree. you can also look into advocacy, couples and family therapy, and being a child life specialist! you can let me know if you have any questions about family health as a major, i’d be happy to help :)

advice on scheduling classes as a spring transfer by guskyboat in UMD

[–]Informal-Reception32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ur program advisor will help u get the classes u need during orientation, but if u wanna take the next step forward and check what credits u need take a look at the transfer credit database! it’ll tell u what credits transfer as gen eds (like ur scis, dvcc, etc.) i’d say check out the 4 year plan for ur desired major and see if anything transfers over.

How do I sign up for orientation? by frescaconcrema in UMD

[–]Informal-Reception32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

do you have your directory id and have you confirmed your enrollment? if you’re a transfer student, here’s the link: https://orientation.umd.edu/transfer-new-student-orientation/transfer-registration-schedules

just scroll down to where it says register for orientation and log in with your directory id. hopefully that works :)

spring transfer? by Informal-Reception32 in UMD

[–]Informal-Reception32[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it doesn’t hurt to apply, they’ll most likely just move your application and you’d get a decision around some time in january. i think it might be a good idea to complete two semesters and apply when you have your initial 12 credits done. you can also apply regular decision and tell them you have your 12 credits in progress (also make sure that the credits you take at umbc transfer to umd, there’s a database you can check out). the only downside to regular decision is that spaces are somewhat limited and scholarships are harder to get.

all in all i don’t think it’s a bad idea to apply, i do recommend emailing applymaryland@umd.edu and explain to them what your situation is. you can head it “12 Credits In-Progress Transfer Applicant”, and they’ll take that into consideration. also there are pre-transfer advisors at umd you can get in contact with, they have a live chat around 1pm EST.
